Well, rather than ragging on Woody why don't you point out the examples that makes him suck so bad? It might be slightly more believable if you actually added some context but all you have is wild accusations....

A Woody Appreciation Day (WAD) love-in is in order on the stadium parking lot grounds with everyone chaining arms, singing Kumbaya and spreading those ever elusive positive vibes. Will only need to find the least popular guy in the room to organize such a WAD.
If Woody allows Saleh and JD to bring in an inexperienced and ineffective coordinator and pass him off as the new OC? They'll deserve every bit of vitriol and anger they'll get. It will get really ugly, really quick.

John Idzik, Mike Maccagnan, Todd Bowles, Adam Gase, possibly Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh, Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith regardless if he's any good now, Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson, Marty Mornhinweg, Jeremy Bates, Dowell Loggains, Charley Casserly and Ron Wolf, the consulting firm that hired Idzik, the longest playoff drought in the NFL, all the losing seasons, his idiot brother, the ugly uniforms. Why is it then it works for other teams? We act like other teams don’t hire young and inexperienced first time HC, or coordinators or GMs. We act like other teams don’t draft bad QBs, the difference is the speed at which other teams move on from their mistakes. Woody has been patient to a fault with his hires, now he shows swift action and he still can’t win with the fans.
Easy answer: Other teams haven't been out of the post season in 12 consecutive years. Other teams haven't had a QB throw for more than 10tds in a season in recent memory. Other teams hire inexperienced OC's and when they don't work out, they get bounced. Same for HC's. Lastly, other teams on occasion get it right. Keep in mind 50 years and counting for this fanbase. Its not much more complicated than that... Boiling it down? What works for other teams doesn't work for the Jets. Maybe its the application, maybe its the decision making. Maybe its the Jets..
I’ll tell you the one thing that has bothered me about Woody, he doesn’t hire offensive minded HC, it really gets under my skin that he always goes with defensive minded HC. This time I can’t get mad at Woody, he didn’t like it when he saw offense implode and wanted changes made, the defense improved, now it’s time to improve the offense. I like it that he was swift in his firing of Lafleur, this offense was not what Jets said they were going to use to develop a young QB.
12 years with no playoffs. A litany of bad GMs and coaches. Hiring GMs and not having the head coach report to them directly. Putting his brother in charge while he jets off to another country to be the ambassador. Did I miss anything?

I've said this before and I'll say it again It starts and ends with the GM. There's a lot of at least decent HC's in the NFL and Bowles was no exception. Gase was but that was made by Chris. Show me a GM that knows how to draft like a Joe Douglas and I'll show you a decent HC. We haven't seen that yet from Saleh but it's coming. A HC must have talent to work with. Rex, Toilet, Gase, and Saleh up until this season were all, at least in part, hamstrung by BAD GM's. Idiots that had no idea how to gather talent. So now that context is added you see that you can fault Woody for poor hiring. Sure. That's all him. But just as much it's just bad luck. And I'll bet you and every other dingbat on this site was probably celebrating Woody for utilizing a few former GM's to hire his own GM. But now you get to shit on Woody for the poor choice and pretend like you knew it all along. It's classic Monday morning QB and a little shrunken penis syndrome as you're clearly jealous that it's his team and not yours. At the end of day no one knows if all the things that have apparently been done by Woody are true. It's just you jumping to conclusions because you want to piss and moan....

Idzik (wasn't he an accountant or something before being handed the keys to a 14 pick draft that turned into zero) 4. Building the tin trash can with the NYG, keeping the Jets out of NY 5. Letting the accountant trade Revis to the Pats in his prime, and our best player in the last 50 years getting a ring with the hated pats.
His ownership record in the last 12 years coupled with raising the season ticket prices 30% has definitely soured me on his ownership and our future. The Giants winning a playoff game today with a rehabbed QB and a new coach just shows how lost we are as a franchise compared to others in the area. Who really thinks this is going to get any better next year?
