Zach should be back no matter what. He has talent. They just need to get him right. He was the #2 overall pick. Moving on would be ridiculous. I don't think it has to do with Woody being friends with the Wilsons though. It is just common sense. Now he obviously can't just be handed the starting job, but he should be able to compete in Training Camp with whatever veteran QB they sign this off-season. Possibly sit behind that veteran in 2023 too.

What about JaMarcus Russell? Former Pro Bowl QB Jeff Garcia said that Russell was the greatest practice QB he had ever seen, and by practice I mean throwing the ball with no defenses opposing him. They gave up on that guy to early as well I feel.
Leaf at 46 is better then Zach at 23. At least Leaf has life experience and isn't a pampered pussy lol.

Ryan Leaf actually did have 3 seasons with the Chargers. JaMarcus Russell also had 3 seasons with the Raiders. Josh Rosen was dumped 1 year after being drafted, but the Cardinals were all-in on Kyler Murray, so it made sense. Not sure the Jets will have any QB options they like in the draft. I truly believe Zach can be developed into a top QB in the NFL. It's cool (although very negative and disappointing) that many Jets fans have quit on him and make fun of him, but that's life. They did the same with Sam, Geno, Mark, and even Chad.
It's not any connection to JetBlue; Wilson's uncle may have founded the airline but was fired from there over a decade ago.

Seriously that Michael Kay report nailed it and it should be concerning to all Jets fans for one Woody’s pressure on the staff for Wilson has nothing to do with football. Notice how it didn’t say Woody thinks he’s a good QB or has this or that skill set. No, he’s just personal friends with Wilson’s family. Secondly, if Wilson’s dad/mom were construction workers from Staten Island and everything else on the field is the same does he get the same treatment from Woody? Probably not based on that report Woody is the worst owner in football and there are some bad ones

Hmmm, a family of construction workers from Staten Island would probably have Johnson looking over his shoulder a lot more than some fairly well placed airline people from Utah. Nobody here has ever accused him of being that aware, though.
