I'm thinking White knew he was in no shape to play in the Detroit game and he also knew that there was no way a doctor would clear him. He went on his doctor crusade so he could look like a hero. Meanwhile all it did was fuel speculation that he wasn't really that hurt and he was being held out just so Wilson could be reinserted into the lineup. Just go back and read the thread on this forum to see what kind of shit he stirred up. Not a good look in my opinion.

Were you also told that all rib injuries are the same?

He may be done... but the Jets still have to figure out what to do with him.

It was one thing to have a confident shitty quarterback.
It's quite another to have an emotionally broken shitty quarterback...

Before the Jets decide what to do with him it may be necessary for Wilson to decide what he wants to do with himself. I mentioned in another thread earlier tonight that Kirwan and Miller today on SXM radio had an interesting take on Saleh's comment about sending Wilson to sit on the beach and read a book. One of them suggested that it wasn't really for ZW to relax and start over but to do some deep thinking about whether he wanted to actually be in the NFL and put in the necessary work to succeed.

Sorry I missed that. I listen to their show and get good insight on the way the league thinks & operates.

I would hope that Zach has enough pride... along with the love of the game... to put in the "necessary work"...
    ...if that's indeed the problem.

But if he's been winging it for two years there may be a deeper organizational problem that needs to be addressed.

Not surprised if this comes to pass. White really wasn't ready to play last week either but given the situation in the QB room, Saleh had no choice except to play SloJoe. At this point, I think they should let Zach suit up and get a few reps in just for giggles. This situation at the Qb spot is becoming worse than the McCarthy vote. Its almost as if the circus is making a cameo thinking about a comeback to the Jets.

I think Mike White will end up with a career similar to Matt Moore's. Capable backup that can win a game here and there and look all pro occasionally. But at the end of the day no one is going to want him as their starter. And the injury issue is a huge concern. You don't want your backup being injury prone because then you are looking at playing your 3rd string guy.

Sounds like it'll be Flacco. I think they really want to give Wilson space from the game so I expect Streveler will be the backup.

And I believe Mike White's injury was a bigger hindrance than realized at the time last week and probably contributed to how poorly he played. He probably shouldn't have been out there at all. And seeing how he played, I don't think Flacco would have done any worse...

Looks like SloJoe will actually have to earn his game check this week. Hopefully it will be his last game check from the Jets. ZW gets a day at South Beach to end his outstanding season and if he has any luck at all, the MILF hunting should still be in season down there. Saleh gets a break no matter what happens on the field Sunday so he's good. MLF has a built in excuse in SloJoe so he's off the hook too. Win/Win for everyone on Sunday no matter what happens.

I don't how ANYONE could not see that..... multiple times during the game, I said to my dad "This guy just isnt right, and probably shouldnt be playing"... Pretty evident as his passes were slower and more off the mark as the game progressed as did his grimaces after contact. Says alot more about Zach than Mike White imo.... and the coach for not making the proper adjustments.

It's kind of weird how everyone wanted Wilson benched/traded/cut after the second Pats game and now they are pissed he's not playing in the Miami game

Agreed. Obviously I'm speculating and don't know the truth, but if my premise is correct and MW really was being hindered that much by injury, they should have just rolled with Flacco from the start or made a change to him when MW was playing that poorly. And that would be on Saleh

100%. I understand why he started White. He wanted to keep the team engaged, but it was clear it couldnt get it done, and shouldve moved to Flacco for some "Chuck and Ducks" in the 4th, mixed with some Streveller "Tebow ball" just to provide a running game spark

There have been plenty of comments about being irritated he's sitting on the bench while others are playing.

White out, Flacco getting the start.

Glad to see JD and Saleh are in on the tank for a top 10 pick now.

Zach being the back-up is interesting. I wonder if they give him some reps if things get out of hand with Flacco.

those are some good points by Kirwan and Miller.

And yeah I mean he's already a rich kid, he dont need to play for the money. He doesnt have a family to support or anything like that. Its possible he's not dedicated to the game and could use some soul searching on if the NFL is really what he wants.

I'm not sure that's the case but it would explain why he hasnt gotten any better. And why he's not popular in the locker room
