This year has been amazing, by January I’m fully aware of the top draftees. I mean it stinks to watch them lose four in a row but somehow they are still relevant.
Lockett is questionable. Will get more news in about an hour or so is what I’m seeing. Really hope he doesn’t play, completely different O with him.
Seriously, can anybody doubt that we beat the Seahawks, and then we get our hearts broken the following week either by losing to Miami or having NE win.
So happy we have a game of consequence for New Years Day! Thinking Lobster Tail Scampy and Bistro style Fillets Mignon for living room tailgate. Copious amounts of Green & White beer (Heinekens). Fuck dem Sea Gulls! Flying Rats I tell Ya. Fing bait stealing Mother Fkers! Crush Em JETS!!!
Lockett had a plate and 10 screws inserted in his left hand 12 days ago to repair a spiral fracture of the first metatarsal. He may play... but you'd have to think he'll be compromised.
Amazing the huge number of Jet fans with a loser mentality. This was supposed to be a 4 win team. Remember……. 0-9? Year 3 is the mandate. This is gravy
You have to have a loser mentality to root for the Jets. The periods when they are good are few and often the periods when they are bad are epic length. On second thought I might call it more an ability to accept disappointment. 2003: Jets have great young QB lost for half the season with fractured wrist in TC. 2005: Jets are a dark horse for the SB and everything falls apart. 2007: Mangenius turns into Mandumbo and things fall apart. 2008: Favre lifts the Jets back into the SB conversation and things fall apart. 2011: Jets and Giants meet at 7-7 with an injured Sanchez (ribs of course) and lose followed by Giants winning SB. 2012: Tebowmania turns into bleargh!!! Again... 2014: Idzik blows out taking Rex with him. 2016+ speaks for itself. And that's just recent history. Jets fans definitely have PTSD over the generations.
https://nypost.com/2022/12/30/jets-game-plan-clear-for-vulnerable-seahawks-defense/ I'm a little confused by the above comment. What "guys" is the OC preaching that they need to run the ball?? Isn't he calling the plays?
Being an original fan from 1960 hope springs eternal. However things didn't start out on a positive note in their first exhibition game against the Chargers Paul Lowe returned the opening kickoff 105 yards for a TD. Even back then Special Teams was a problem. I'm hopeful we'll fix it someday.
On the first possession, just get down the field and score a touch down. Punch them right in the mouth. Take the fans 12Th man out of the game.
