I've seen some mention of playing harder for mikewhite. I don't think it's as much playing harder, but being more in sync with mikewhite. When you have a qb back there taking too much time going through his reads, running around all willy nilly or handing off when it's suppose to be a pass play it's difficult to get in sync with them.
Going to be strange watching Geno play as the opposing QB. Maybe our D can force him into a mistake or two.
Eh, it's been so long that I forgot what he looked like until I saw highlights of him this year Strange was seeing Chad Pennington in a Dolphins uniform.
If the Jets can get out to a lead and force Geno into that 40+ pass attempt script I think we will be fine. 4 of his 9 INTs have come over the last 4 weeks. I really hope Lockett doesn't play so all our focus can be on shutting down Metcalf and keeping Walker in check. They don't have much after those two. Will Dissly was just put on the IR. Fant is alright and then they have Colby Parkinson at TE. Marquise Goodwin has a bummed wrist and was awful last week vs KC.
Metcalf is a joy to watch. I love big physical receivers. With Sauce being a physical DB, that will be a hell of a matchup when they get lined up together
Hopefully the Jets understand the urgency of this game. Winning in Seattle is no easy feat. Defense needs to step up and hopefully generate some turnovers. Special teams needs to wake the hell up. OL better have it together in order for MW to pick apart their defense. Saleh and staff need to have these guys ready and do their respective jobs. Limit the penalties. Jets 24-16
I'm terrified of Lockett playing vs our safeties. Would not be shocked if we gave up a long touchdown to him.
Special teams needs to be better. The punt unit cannot continue to give opposing offenses short field. The offense and defense will get the job done.
I just don't have a good feeling about this game. It's a tough place to play, our punter has been killing us, the team seems to be in a free fall, and our offensive line is horrendous. I just think it's asking too much for Mike White to come in and be the savior.
Ahh fooey... Every week we get a couple of posters being all doom & gloom about the upcoming game. Admittedly they've been right for the past month... but still... it gets old.
It's hard to argue with this take, especially when history is considered.... but I'm gonna set myself for another emotional letdown. MIKE F-IN WHITE.... GO JETS
MikeWhite can only do so much. It's time for everyone everyone EVERYONE on the team to step up. The chance to be in the playoffs doesn't happen every year, as we all know.
If the OL loves MW as much as they say they do? They'll show up and play the best game they're capable of given age and circumstances.
It's been a long time coming for a legit shot at playoffs in January. Here's my hot takes: - Geno will try and be a hero and force a few in there. Defense is as good as the Ryan years. I think CJ Mosley will have a monster game. - The offense looks drastically different with MW behind centre. Borderline competent. We need to run the ball and establish some form of a run game to open things up behind the LBs. I'd like to see MW throw the ball less than 30 times. That would mean our run game is doing something and we don't need to rely on explosive pass plays. - That Seattle road trip is no joke. Luckily I'm guessing the place won't be rocking and they won't be pumping too much fake crowd noise in there. - Weather should be decent. Seems like every game they've played in has been wind and rain. Hopefully not too much of a mess and they can execute some plays. Ball security. - Overall, this team kinda has the look of the last playoff squad with Sanchez playing. Run the ball, play action, and a D that can create turnovers. Just like all of you, I put up with an inordinate amount of **it from other NFL fans for being a diehard NYJ supporter. We have something here. Right the ship, sneak into the dance and create chaos. It starts with this one. Jets 24 Seahawks 14 Jet Up.
