There Is no time out problems. It was one game. Tired of seeing that dumbass take. I'm not calling you a dumbass, heavy emphasis on the 'take' part. We didn't have a much better option. How could anyone reasonably be okay with them trotting Flacco or Strev out there at this juncture In the season, when you have the #2 QB healthy and available? You can't make that move unless he proves, again, that he doesn't have It. Which we all knew he would, still, you gotta let It play out at this point. As they did. Now, I think he should've been pulled at half. Still. I don't think he's fucking the team by playing favorites. I think this was really the only option with what was available. I can always tell when the delusion starts creeping In with some of ya'll, It's definitely there though with some of you guys when you grasp at this bullshit "time management" argument. It's extremely exaggerated and simply put, non-sense.
I heard this when I replayed his presser this morning. Immediately thoughts of a Bloody Mary entered my thought process as I shook my head.
Saleh knows how to steer clear of a land mine question...so no he can't outright say ZW is trash He had to start ZW ..unfortunately . But it's on him for not yanking him It's just a mess Merry Xmas papa
No offense taken Mean But where's the evidence that RS is hands down such a great Coach??..go and knock yourself out with that one
The fact that we have been In a constant revolving door, with some really horrible QB play, and still have had a meaningful season. That's proof, no? The fact that our roster has significantly improved under Saleh and JD collectively. Is that not proof? The fact that this guy does keep a level demeanor, he's calculated, smart, and has almost over night turned the worst defense In football Into a very respectable defense. That says something too, no? The fact that almost everything that this guy has predicted, has been pretty damn close to accurate. That tells me a lot too. He's not perfect. I just think he will be a really good coach. We've seen some really shitty coaches, with some serious fucking flaws as a HC. Can we honestly pin-point those things with, Saleh? Consistent things now, not mistakes. I know the time management happened. It wasn't okay, but, If he learns from It like all the other coaches of NYJ past have failed to do. Well, most of them. That's proof too, no? I see him make mistakes but there Isn't really anything I can point to that makes him a bad HC right now. He handles the WHOLE team, not just one side of the ball. He has the players respect. They always play hard for him. We are In almost every game we've played this season. He Is a fireball. You can tell he loves the game, he eat, breaths, sleeps football. He doesn't have the same things plaguing him every single week. I truly believe he Is the real deal. The win total has obviously went up since his first season. Significant improvement has been made from year 1 to year 2. A lot of positive trends with, Saleh. Unlike the blemish that Is, Zach Wilson. Yes. He has to take responsibility for that failure as well but It's not a mistake that should define his worth, It's where we end up because of those mistakes. Do those same trends continue to plague this team, or do they adapt, Identify, and change course based on what's needed for this team? We are about to find out a lot about this coach with this situation at QB. Time will tell but I can see a lot of good there.
Saleh's biggest and toughest problem to address is the Zach Wilson issue. There's no way he can sell the return of the Zach to the fanbase or the locker room so its either that or figure how to sell eating $35M to the Owner as Zach's contract is fully guaranteed. Not sure who negotiated this contract but they should be taken to the woodshed. It could well be the defining moment in Saleh's short career as a HC.
No doubt about It. The QB situation will make or break this staff. I think they can afford to get the initial pick wrong, that's not an easy task to navigate but It's possible. For sure. They absolutely can't get the next step of It wrong though, they have to figure It out, and you are right. No way they can sell ZW to anyone at this point. Not without a full offseason with legit competition attached to It. He's likely on this team next year because of the contract but If he doesn't earn that starting gig In the offseason, legitimately, through legitimate competition (we will know, media Isn't going to report false bullshit for Zach's sake), then they will fail before they even get started. Either they draft, trade, etc... Explore all avenues essentially, I don't know the answer, but they assuredly got to figure It out.
You are correct in saying that Saleh had to start him. I was amazed that ZW took the field after halftime. Merry Christmas NY!
Saleh has not lot the locker room. Pulling zw actually showed the team that if you screw up your 2nd chance you’re done. This actually cements winning as priority.
I would like to start this post by saying clearly that I do not believe Zach Wilson is an NFL starting QB. Unfortunately I believe simply the game is to fast for him and he can not process the required info [going through his progressions] to get the ball out of his hands I’m a timely manner. With this being said, my one question is Who do we have on this CS with EXPERIENCE to develop a QB? Is it MLF? Who has he developed? Some may like MLF and others may dislike him. Shame on the organization for not getting a proven guy to develop this kid. After watching Wilson last night, I believe we all can agree here, that he has regressed. He looks more lost after his “ RESET .” Wilson prior to his reset at least was able to evade the rush. He would pick up the blitz fairly quickly. Now he is terrible. He couldn’t even evade the blitz coming in his line of site. This happened in last nights game and in the Detroit game. I believe Saleh better fire his buddy MLF before Saleh gets fired as well. Or at the very least get a guy whose only job is to develop a QB. In addition, let us not forget how terrible the OL has been. Absolutely a nightmare. Tomlinson not playing up to his monster contract, Fant has been awful, Brown to old and to heavy to play the position anymore. Just for starters. Combine this line with a kid who can’t make decisions and get the ball out of his hands quickly and you have a mess for a team. That team is playing right before our eyes each week. As we all know that team is the New York Jets.
They did, he passed away. They also have enough experience throughout the entire offensive staff to know what they are tryin to get from their QB's. Only one has completely shit the bed. His buddy Saleh believes In the same system that MLF runs. It would be a dumb move to do that, considering that's the only true offensive system he believes In based on a number of things. You don't fire the symptom, you fire the cause. Zach Wilson. It blows my mind how often I hear people complaining about MLF.... Then also ignore the production every QB has had In the EXACT SAME SYSTEM, not named, Zach Wilson. I don't get people's logic. I really don't.
You will If It happens. It makes zero sense and will not solve any problems. What problem does that solve? Seriously?
Its very possible the MLF takes the fall for ZW, but I don't exactly think that it's fair. Imagine being a rookie OC and ZW/Flacco is the hand you are dealt? I would give the guy a total pass. I have no idea if he'll be a good coordinator somewhere else or not. As far as I'm concerned, there's no way to truly evaluate MLF's culpability in any of this.
