While this season is frustrating I wanted to put a few things in perspective.

Entering the season if you told us that we'd be upset the Jets fell apart at 7 - 3, in late december, we would have been thrilled.

This is a really good young team that is only going to get better.

Losing AVT and Breece in one shot really hurt, had that not happened who knows.

This team is a competent QB away from being really really good. We don't even need a great one, just one that fits the system and can run the offense. Could be Mike White honestly. Could be someone else (i.e. Derek Carr)

It will be MUCH easier to find that in free agency/trade than in the draft. Make zero mistake, this team is going the vet route.

2023 is going to be a good year for this team. We are closer than it seems.

I don’t think we would have been thrilled to know the Jets would fall apart at 7-3. That’s a line we tell ourselves to try and soften the blow of what’s turning out to be another disastrous season.

No doubt that this team has more talent than it’s had in years and it’s mostly home grown. That’s incredible and the future still looks bright in my opinion, but this season is looking like a wasted opportunity.

For me there's two ways they could approach the offseason......

    1) Go out a get a veteran play caller ie like Drrek Carr or Jimmy Garapolo. Draft someone you don't believe will ever become your FQB. Your actions indicate you still hold out hope that Zach will eventually turns things around. I'm thinking a move like that is dangerous for Salehs career. Remember, this roster is close to being SB ready. If the fanbase thinks they're good enough to win it all and the coaching staff continues with a guy they know will never get it? That could potentially mean jobs.

    2) Trade for an established QB like Rodgers. We watch the Jets go all in behind Aaron Rodgers. Zach gets to tag along buried on the bench. The hope is you'll get a verbal promise from Rodgers to play 3 seasons? You need to be reasonably certain he'll play 3 seasons unless the Jets win the SB sooner.

I'm sure probably Joe Douglas believes this roster is ready to win the SB if they can find a QB......

    We were never 7-3.
