This guy is unbelievable. The Jets media bosses need to start shielding him from interviews. This is embarrassing. You are not an NFL QB, play HS ball, zero chance to run a current NFL offense, and "mo money mo problems" is where your head is at?????

    Johnny Manziel 2.0

And now the Jets beat writers are propping him up again after the most garbage display of QBing that led to 300 yards ever... Not one single NYJ beat writer keeps it real. All company men.

Can't wait till Thurs night presser: "hey guys, it was raining real hard out there."

Unfortunately for him we already saw what a competent QB can do in the pouring rain 3 weeks ago!

This isn't just a problem with the Jets' beat reporters. It's a problem with beat reporters in many publications and in all sports.

Beat writers toe the company line in return for access. We live in an Adam Schefter world where posting something on Twitter five minutes before the competition is a major scoop. To be able to compete in that world, you need people in the organization to feed you information. If they're pissed at you, they'll cut you off, and the competition will beat the shit out of you. As a result, the writers play ball with the team.

So true and you are right ... to expand on that, if all the beat writers are in Zach LA LA land while 50% of the NFL analyst community thinks Zach is hot trash, then something is off. Clearly the beat writers are spewing the company lines and that is worrisome as a Jets fan bc this team is built to go for it now. They have a 2- 3 year window with bargain labor they can still build around (garrett, sauce, breece, avt) they don't have time to trot out a HS QB who doesn't know how to run an offense but clearly as the beat writers put out, it's what they plan to do. Putrid.

You guys have lost your minds. Kenny O takes to many sacks get him out of here, Pennington has a noodle arm, We would have won a Superbowl if Sanchez was better, Geno suck get him out of here , Darnold suck.

Reality- Kenny O was good, Pennington was good, Sanchez took us to two AFC championship games, Geno is now a very good QB, Darnold (Well he still sucks)

It takes more than 20 games to learn to play QB in the NFL.

Mike White everyone's hero was only able to put up 22 and 12 points in his two losses and failed on two come from behind drives.

Everyone needs to stop whining and let it play out. If Zach plays an average game he will be the starter for the rest of the season. There is no way they are going back to Mike White for a multitude of reasons.

It does not matter how much you bitch and cry about it.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Makes sense to me and appreciate the honesty. It's a whole different beast playing in college vs the NFL and can see how the pressures could sap the fun out of the game.

I think if he were able to really improve those QB fundamentals the game could become more fun again.

In the grand scheme of things it’s really not anything at all. But…. For a kid that’s looked like total trash on the field, looked like total trash in taking accountability for his poor efforts, and should know by now he’s under a huge microscope…. Saying “mo money mo problems” as if it’s the money that makes his play indefensible and not the actual pisspoor play is not a good look. He’s a nice typical 23 year old kid. Slightly aloof, self centered to borderline arrogant, sensitive to criticism and thinks he knows best. The problem is the NFL QB position doesn’t jive with typical 23 year old kids. The NFL QB position requires a young man to be mature and intelligent well beyond their years. Outside of his strong arm there’s absolutely nothing that Zach has shown so far that tells you he’s a top caliber QB. Certainly not his decision making on the field, or his mouth off the field.

In other words, who give a fuck what he says, as long as he plays well? Pretty much my point.

The problem with this multiheaded analogy is that Zach hasn't looked anywhere remotely as good as any of those guys did in their first couple of seasons. And lets face it, that bar is pretty fucking low.

I hope you are not a journalist. Hearing Zach's interview and then putting this quote as the headline just lacks journalizing integrity and is a click bait by someone who is looking to find something, anything, that may be perceived as negative and highlight it. Did you listen to the interview even or just dug for anything you can find that can paint Zach poorly?

Yes, we absolutely needed another wasted POS thread to state " I hate Zach, he is the worst QB ever, blah, blah, blah, and anyone in the media that says anything positive about him"

All I get from this thread is that somebody as white as Zach Wilson shouldn't be quoting Biggie Smalls.

To this day I believe had Pennington been the QB of those ‘09-10 teams the Jets would of won one of those SBs.

The stupidity of Cannizzaro's claim that Wilson can become a franchise quarterback in one game in light of the erratic, mostly poor, body of work he has produced in two years is mind bending enough to discount everything he has to say for the rest of the season, at least.
