If Q plays, I have this weird feeling that the D is going to be the best we've seen. They held Det to 13 offensive points (3 of which were a gift after the INT and then the 50+ yard play). Jax OL is abysmal and they can really cause problems for Lawrence. I don't think it'll take more than 17 to win this game for the Jets. Can we get there? Idk, but specials need to be way better. It would be nice to pin someone inside their 5 and get the ball back for the O at the 40? Maybe Berrios finally does something? 17 is the number IMO for a win.
Whether or not Quinnen plays will make a big difference about how I feel about this game. It was clear they really missed him on Sunday.
You think Woody was n his underwear playing air guitar to AC/DC Back in Black when they made this announcement?
I agree. Jared Goff had all day to throw on numerous plays and I don't think we even sacked him once.
Cam Robinson their starting LT tore his meniscus in the OT win in Dallas. You would hope that Lawson could take advantage of that situation. That and Quinnen coming back (hopefully, never believe anything Saleh says about injuries) should make it tough for the Jags. He was really missed last week. BTW - Zach will lose the team and the fans possibly for good if he doesn't bring home a win this week, especially if Lawrence outplays him badly.
I vote Jets to win. Think I will bail on this game though. Got to work Friday. Will miss the last home tail gate with my crew. GO JETS!!! "We must just Keep Buggering On" ...WC
5-4; the nightmare scenario of losing to the Lions and Jags at home, and essentially getting booted from the playoffs, becomes reality. Not much of a surprise here, since this tragic script was playing out when Mikewhite got a boo-boo and was sent home because he did not have a note from his doctor. Don't be surprised to see Flacco's stiff come in and put the final nail on the coffin to yet another playoffless Jets' season. This is the second consecutive game where the Jets are in playoff contention, playing a perennial doormat at home, and they're not even favored by a lousy FG. Looks like Vegas is no dummy when it comes to reading a team's QB depth chart - or in this case, more like death chart.
No chance of a Jets win here. Jacksonville is playing terrific football right now and the Jets are, while a competent football team in most respects, at a significant disadvantage at the most important position on the field.
First time since he's been here that I want CD to play. This is my personal opinion and I can be wrong and its definitely controversial--I think Mims dogged it last game to just collect the paycheck. Most of us at one time or another have taken a knee or hard hit to a helmet and that knee he took was not a direct hit. He made a big deal out of it and that ensured he was going to get the rest. It's easy to flub a cognitive reaction time test if you want to fail it. I don't think it was that bad a hit.
I don't know about that. It doesn't take a whole lot to shake the brain, even a glancing blow from a foot or knee could do it. If these guys want a fake break, all they have to do is pretend their hamstrings are tight.
Mims has been fighting to get on the field for 2 years. I doubt he faked an injury to get off the field.
I just had that feeling but you guys make good points--low probability for sure--I'll let it go. thx.
I really thought we were going to find a way against the Lions. This week my confidence is shattered and I really think we're going to lose this game. And then traveling to Seattle is going to be no picnic either.
