So Xmas gift to Saleh is “Coaching For Dummies”? lol my new Post at Seasons end will be “theLearning Curve” .. prediction for next. season for players and coaches Who has a good one ..who doesnt
I think it's fair to say Saleh is not a complete coach and may never be. He seems to be excellent in player motivation. He needs a time management person locked to his hip during the game right now.
Salah has done a good job and has made errors. Errors are correctable even if it’s frustrating to suffer through them.
11-20 proves he is a horrendous coach, 30 games in a coach should never leave a freakin timeout in his pocket when his team is down at the end of the game, all the undisciplined penalties, starting Flacco instead of White, not pulling Zack in the 2nd New England game, have been all criminal. If ownership throws 100 mil at Sean Peyton at the end of the season he comes here but ownership is demented, that's why the last great Jet Moment was Jan. 12, 1969 and the next one will be when they sell this team.
His record is right on par with Bill Parcells through two years. And, like Parcells, he is showing improvement in his team through two years. Brain dead would be ignoring the upward trajectory of the team just because you are angry about what transpired yesterday. I’m not arguing he’s Parcells, just presenting evidence that simply declaring a similar record over a similar period of time doesn’t indicate inability.
With his clock mismanagement skills, Saleh may end up getting a Rolex endorsement to help him out in those circumstances. Regardless, Saleh's main problem is that he is severely hamstrung by starting a QB, who no coach in his right mind would even consider starting during a playoff run. And by the way, the only decent beverage made with instant coffee is Frappe. If the Rolex deal falls through, maybe Saleh can sign with Nescafe.
I wonder how Saleh would've answered the question from a reporter after the game, "whether he let the team down?" "No, no..."
Ya'll are wild. Clock management has been very good all year until this last game. Mistakes happen. Like, fucking relax. I just don't get It. If It becomes a trend, okay, hit the panic button. We are far from that though.
This wasn't a mistake this was a catrastraphe, our coach doesn't understand the basics of clock management.
Well, thanks for the clarification. For a second there I honestly thought It just came off as a mistake, something I had not seen before up to that point. Also, I highly doubt we see that again moving forward. ..but, you cleared It up. Catrastraphe. Got It. Got It. Not Catastrophe. See, I'm getting confused a lot now. My fault.
Atleast 3 games this incompetent coach cost us and counting now, flip it to 10-4 and this team is cruising, Robert Saleh has been a distaster. Besides standing on the sideline and being and Chearleader what makes him a competent coach?
i could name even more on the D side, but the reason for going offense is at least having another person who could help or groom a QB as well. And I never said I thought he would get fired I already know Saleh isn’t going anywhere, I just wish he would get rid of his friend upstairs
I'm sorry, I missed It. What happened the other two times In this three game blaming of, Saleh? I understand the timeout mismanagement last game. What were the other two again?
Saleh went through his thought process for the timeout stuff in his most recent press conference, admitted he overthought on the 2nd and 10 and should have called a TO after that. He mentioned something about thinking we were given a very favourable spot, but in the end I disagree with the decision not to call the TO there. That was the most egregious of the non-TO decisions. Hopefully it's an actual learning experience, and isn't repeated. Video below, from 2:40.
Yeah Saleh is not a good coach. The guy who had this team go from the worst defense in the NFL to one of the best overnight, have us in a position to lead the AFC, and manage to keep the team fighting after critical injuries and having Zach Wilson on his team. You got to be kidding me with this thread.
It's like people have blinkers on like racehorses some times. Saleh and his staff have made more adjustments - in game and in terms of playing style - and been better with time management and in general game situation management than just about anyone going back probably to Parcels but the team has lost 3 straight so heads have gotta roll.
