This year, yes. But regardless of what White or Wilson does, if next year this team misses the playoffs again and underperforms he may not get that chance. We’re in a dangerously blind situation. Personally I’d trade ZW and sign White for a 3 year type deal, assuming that’s enough to sign him.
I don't either, and with only 4 starts over two seasons, the jury is still out on him, though obviously he's shown promise. He's definitely gotta compete to start next year if he's on the team, but if he is the real deal, it would be a lot easier than trying to find a new QB.
If FO is really pushing Zach to be the guy, then we need to build an ELITE oline for him. This way he can have 10 seconds in the pocket waiting for his 1st read to be completely open.
