The Jets can make the playoffs if they win out. That's like saying that I could be rich if I found a million dollars lying on the ground. They're both possible but probably about equally as likely to happen. In terms of this team playing meaningful football, this season is over. The rest of the way, as sad as it is to say, is about evaluating the QB situation.
Well prob win out to the Miami game and be down 1 vs Miami with 30 seconds left and Saleh will forget to use his timeouts again, thats the Jets way!
Saleh won't have that chance to mess up those timeouts. This team is staring down the barrel at a 7-10 finish.
If he has a worse record than Adam Gase with this talent he is definately the worst coach in Jets history. 2-5 in last 7 games what a choke job. 5 of those game could of been won.
Week 16 Jets > Jags Green Bay > Miami Colts > Chargers Bengals > Pats Falcons > Ravens This happens we are sitting in the 6th spot. If Miami, Pats, or LAC win, we would be 7th seed. If multiple win, we would be 8th + if all 3 win we stay 9th.

and yet for many here have given Up the season and don’t get what meaningful Dec games are which we desperately missed in the last whatever how many years. I ll watch the games with pride and having faith that they’ll win to keep themselves alive in the playoffs. Something we haven’t done in a while. For those that say the season is over, does that mean you wasn’t watch the games now?
This seasons not over as far as playoffs go. The Jets are far from out of it. The Raiders stealing the game from the Patriots was gigantic. In all likelihood we will need the Jets to run the table and have the Patriots lose one game either to the Bengals, Dolphins or Bills. There is a scenario where the Jets could get in at 9-8, but it would require the Patriots losing to the Bengals and Bills, and beating the Dolphins while the Jets beat either Jacksonville or Seattle and beat the Dolphins. That's not too far-fetched but hopefully Kansas City keeps winning so they Bills have motivation to beat the Patriots the last week of the season. KC stealing that game yesterday was another huge break for the Jets. Keeps them on the Bills heels. Jets just need a win desperately, if we can somehow beat the Jags this Thursday, I think everything will look/feel different, but they have to win.
I don't think it matters who the Pats lose 2 of 3 games too. As long as they don't get to 9. The Pats can go 1-2 with a win over Miami and finish 8-9. If the Dolphins go 1-1 over the next two and we stay within one game of them that week 18 game is win and in regardless. It gets dicey if the Pats win Sunday and Miami wins Sunday. Then we are really screwed b/c we prob need to go 3-0 since the Pats and Dolphins play each other week 17. The Green Bay v Miami game is absolutely massive for us this weekend. Should make for a fun Christmas at 1:00 pm. If the above scenario were to happen -- we really need the Chargers to lose both conference games they have left vs Colts + Denver. Highly doubtful. I don't really think we get to 10 wins so I'm strictly focusing on the 9-8 scenarios where we need Miami to lose at least one game before we play them week 18.
If the Jets finish at 9-8 and Miami finishes 9-8, then the Pats would have to finish 8-9. Take it a week at a time, but if we win next week it would help a lot.
Scenario 1: Miami 1-2 (loss vs Pats or Packers + Jets) Pats 1-2 (loss vs Cinci/Buff/Miami -- must beat Miami if Miami beats Green Bay) Jets 2-0 Scenario 2 gives the Jets the 5 seed LMFAO: Jets 2-0 Balt 0-3 Chargers 1-2 (both losses vs AFC teams [colts/broncos]) Miami 1-2 Pats 1-2 Can't be fucked looking at any more options. Just need Miami to lose to the Packers and the Pats go 0-3 or 1-2, doesn't matter. Only gets worrisome if Miami wins this week + Pats lose this week Pats over Miami becomes a must win or we are done. Also if Pats + Miami win we are basically done unless Chargers lose both AFC games they have left
As crazy it sounds, its not really that impossible. New England will be underdogs against Cincy and Buffalo. But can New England beat Miami in Foxborough? If they can then it opens the window for the Jets to sneak in. As shit as it sounds currently there is a chance, that the Jets go into the Seattle game at 4 p.m. week 17 controlling their own destiny if Miami loses to Green Bay but beats the Patriots. Or its possible the Jets go into the Seattle game knowing they have to beat Seattle and Miami and have the Bills beat the Pats the following week and they get in. Crazier things have happened in the NFL. Who else remembers when Rex thought the Jets had been eliminated after the Falcons loss in 2009, only for the 4 pm games to all break right and suddenly the Jets controlled their destiny.
Bengals up on the Pats. Need this to hold. Also would prefer if the Chiefs and Bills win, so the Bills have motivation to beat the Pats the final week.
As crazy as it sounds, if the Packers beat the Dolphins, we'll be in a very good position to make the playoffs if we finish 9-8. But we need Mike White healthy to have a shot.
We don't deserve the playoffs until we can beat the shit out of the pats and send Bill, his team, and their fans scurrying like rats in a sewer. This year, once again, BB is snickering in the corner of a new england cottage, stirring his cauldron, and creating bad mojo for the next Jets quarterback.
Its entirely possible the Jets enter Seattle with control of their own destiny. Seattle and Miami are reeling to, so as bad as the Jets have been, our last two opponents have been pretty bad too. See what happens today. Patriots and Raiders losing in the final minutes was big. Needed that Raiders loss and Patriots loss. Now just need Miami to lose one more.
