And just not won that game on December 20, 2020 how much better would the Jet fan life be? Talk about irony that our season just essentially ended today, it's two days from that very day that I just mentioned, and we play that particular QB on a short week this upcoming week who just lead a comeback victory against the 10 win Cowboys. Can't make this shit up really.
Oh how insistent everyone on this board was that it wasn't a big deal and that winning the game was more important to the team's development. The only person I give a pass for not demanding we lose that game is Joe Benigno, and that's because he's the world's most loyal Jets fan and 200 years old.
Winning that game was one of the worst Jets moments I can remember. Lawrence is proving to be the real deal and we're stuck with a QB who can't even consistently hit a five yard screen pass.
I was living in LA at the time and thought for sure the Rams would win I didn't even watch the game. Frank Gore and Gase I can't forgive for that. Like we can't even tank right for a supposed generational QB. The Jags the very next week took out their starter Gardner Minshew mid week and started Mike Glennon who hadn't played all year for no reason what so ever lol. See they knew how to tank.
All water under the bridge; means nothing now unless you enjoy living in the past. Jets have a damn good QB on this roster and will only realize it once they put an end to this Zach fiasco. Time to move on...
It is what it is. Not a damn thing we can do about it now except watch Jax leapfrog us in development as they have a FQB and we don't.
And that's why they are where they are right now, challenging potentially for a division title while we're still wandering around in the wilderness of piss poor QB play. Lawrence is even on track for good things while having had to deal with Urban Meyer in his rookie season. Wilson looks as though he could hold the job for the next decade and still not have figured out how to play QB at the NFL level. Gregg Williams knew what was up when he called that all-out blitz at the end of the Raiders game. If we had completed the tank and gotten Lawrence, a statue should have been erected outside of MetLife immortalizing that call exactly like the Eagles have for that Philly Special play outside their stadium.
I get it what's done is done. But that was week 14 in a lost season with a top prospect there and we fucked that up royally. Why is anyone surprised this season would have been a bust as well. I'm venting I know, but this organization is gonna have the same QB problem next season. Zach is gonna be back and I figure so will Mike White. We don't know if White can make it through a season, and we know that Zach is terrible and probably will continue to be. Where exactly does this team go from here getting Breece and AVT back in our most important position?
If Mike White is smart, he goes running for the hills and finds a new team. He's shown enough to at least get into camp in a QB competition with a different team that hasn't figured out their long term QB solution yet. All we're going to have gotten out of this season is a brief preview of what Mike White is going to do for another team while we spend another year staring the reality of Zach Wilson being a bust in the face yet again.
Yeah watch this dumbass organization find a way to play zack for the remainder of the season and mike white goes elsewhere and becomes the next Joe Montana, this is how stupid ownership is.
Show me one thread that supports this moronic comment. Everyone in this forum was sick to their stomach after that game.
White's got a good chance to be a starter somewhere. He'll bail as soon as free agency hits and I don't blame him, and we'll get to watch Garrett Wilson's head explode.
