Gotta keep riding him man. Before the Pats debacle, GW had 17.5 and 17.9 PPR points with ZW as QB. I think Zach knows what a stud GW is and is gonna make a concerted effort to get the ball in his hands.
It’s not going to be a shootout. The Jets have a top 5 defense in football and Goff has historically been very bad in outdoor, cold weather games.
Just get the win. Right now I want this team to make the playoffs. If White can't go then so be it. Zach better be ready, because if he stinks it up then it will truly be over for him. This is the biggest game in years for us. A loss essentially takes us out of the playoffs. Get it done as a team overall, but Zach better play good.
I think we stumbled on it... once we cleared our own 20, LFC didnt HAVE to throw... No way anyone here or on the Jets PLANNED to run every time and expect a GW TD drive. It was great, but an absolute outlier. Its the most unexpected thing this team did all year, barring the Browns epic meltdown.
Don't give me that much credit. Plenty of people would know he's not it if he does more of the same... inaccurate throws, not seeing the field, etc. I'd say a majority of people would know.
On the bright side... Zach HAS played well when he comes back from a break. It goes to shit soon after...
The first thing that jumped out at me was, I've never seen a player not cleared to play because of bruised ribs. Herbert has played with torn rib cartilage all season. Romo and Luck played with broken ribs for months. This is not a medically enforced benching. This is an administrative decision with the CS/FO, which leads to interesting reasoning. That said, I believe we can win with Zach. But I'm not convinced he gives us the best chance to win. Should be exciting. Go Jets.
Because he's starting over Joe Flacco and Chris Streveler? The guy was benched with a 5-2 record and wasn't going to see the field again barring a White injury because the offense looked significantly better. I would say the CS is well aware of who Zach is right now.
It's possible that they know he's extremely sore and one more shot could put him out for the season. So they give him an extra week of rest and pray Wilson can manage the team to a win against the Lions at home. Then depending on the out come they rest him again against the Jags and have him start the last two games.
Could be? I mentioned yesterday that we released Will Parks just out of the blue, which made me wonder if we were planning on bringing someone up from the PS. Strevlor maybe? But its weird that the headlines are saying White was "not cleared to play", which makes it sound like a medically enforced benching. Its not.
