Receivers getting open isn't the problem, nor is it LaFleur play calling. Receivers are always open at some point running their route. It's the timing of Zach getting the ball to them when they are open that's been the problem. If he can fix that, he'll be a good QB because we've seen that he has excellent mobility and a good arm.
This all seems prearranged, ZW was always going to come back vs the Lions. bench him to avoid taking a beating vs Vikings and Bills. And then finish up the season. MW deserves better

Yeah, it was piss poor. His mechanics have been piss poor in a large majority of the games he’s played in. The game winning drive against Buffalo was the OL saying “Fuck you” to Buffalo and bullying them up and down the field. I still think the Jets win this game on Sunday, but it’s going to be a butt clencher.
He has missed some throws no doubt but I do not think the timing is was the issue per say. Zach was playing not to make a mistake so he gave up throws he should have tried to make. The Pats game he had GW wide open for a TD was looking at him and decided not to throw it. He also gets to cute with these sidearm throws. They are fun to watch when he hits them but then he starts sailing balls and messes with his footwork. He plays much better when he lets is rip. Trust what he sees and let it go. Go watch the Pats game and the Bears game and you will see what I mean about receivers getting open. The biggest difference to White and Wilson is White is trusting in what he is seeing and letting it rip. All this goes out the Window if Zach really does have the yips
I asked if the offense was piss poor. It put up 23 points against the Bills which is more than the offense did against the worst in the league defense Vikings.
Ahh misread your comment. The offense was serviceable, no thanks to Zach Wilson. I don’t think the Jets are going to have any success running the ball on Sunday. They’re going to have to win with Zach’s arm.
It's going to be a shootout and I highly doubt ZW will be able to keep up. If we still had any playoff hopes left, it's pretty much gone now.
