Is it just me, or shouldn't we expect the coaching staff to know ahead of time which QBs are likely to play well before they get in the game and we find out conclusively?
I guess we won't really know until game time. I remember them saying Fields was ready to play against us and then went with the backup on Sunday. I expect White to play but I think one good shot and he's most likely done. Then Wilson will enter to a chorus of boos.
Obviously Flacco needs to go away after the season. But its way to reactionary to call for him to be released in the middle of a playoff run because he came off the bench and got his arm hit during a pass. The guy still has the best TD to INT ratio on the team, and has proven he can run the offense at a high level. I guess if it came down to QB 3 in a WC game, folks would be okay with Berrios or Strevler, who have zero starts for us this season. Its not ideal but he's still the best option we have at QB3.
I wouldn't be surprised is this years second overall pick gets last years 2nd overall pick into the game.
Just a little hopeful note for y'all... after the first loss to the Pats, Zach kinda reset, & played his best game of the season against the Bills. So, hopefully, if he has to play for whatever reason, the benching has hit home with him, & his head (& his feet) are on straighter. The key will be, if things start going wrong, can he stay calm & not go into bizarro land. I actually think doing the scout-QB thing, probably helped his own QB IQ.
I'm hoping White can finish the game. Zach being brought back into the starting lineup will prove nothing, and I want to see White get a good amount of game reps. Granted I know he took a huge shot, and he could very well be knocked out again with the Lions frontline, but just hoping that won't be the case.
It's a great move to light a fire under the rest of the offense. Now they know they'll have to block and catch for that dickhead Wilson again if they don't protect the starting QB
You think Moore was upset with the news today? He actually had more catches, yards and targets in 3 games with Flacco than he did the last 3 games. And we all know how he felt about Wilson! I hope he leans on the scriptures to get him through these troubling time
You know something ..people here complain about the QB play we have had but it's much more than that Saleh hasn't revealed how much ZW is disliked by the whole team and that Is very bad because unconsciously players don't want to push for A leader who acts Says things ZW!! It's a much deeper issue of who can lead and keep the entire locker room happy So Saleh and the coaching staff know they cCANT risk their jobs by having all the players become morose and not want to play hard if Wilson is in there An easy decision ..salvage the Season and look like you made a good effort or face player revolt...wow
Wow. Ok. You think the players would revolt or quit if Zach plays QB again? Really? I mean you have had some wacky takes before like Saleh being anti-American so I guess anything is possible. Mutiny I say! Mutiny!
I’m not sure what Wilson did and we might never be told but it must’ve been pretty egregious to go from starter to inactive. And if you look around, some of the journalists with connections are beating around that bush
This is no surprise....Saleh would rather see Mike White die on the gridiron than see Joe Flacco throw even one more pass.
