Today 12/14 we find out where ZW stands with CS

Flacco can't possibly be in consideration for QB2...

 

Flacco should retire today and the Jets should get a different 3rd string QB. ZW should be backup.

 

I think they put Zach as QB2

 

White starts with Wilson as the backup. This is the way it should be for the rest of the season. Next year I could see Saleh announcing a QB competition between White and Wilson in TC and preseason to see who wins the starters job.

 

I voted for Streveler as backup, but fully expect it to be Wilson.
Put Strev as backup and suit up Wilson as 3rd stringer.

 

MW starts, we are up 40-13 going into the 4th, zw closes out the game

 

I agree. Today will tell you a few things about the Jets in the future:

1) We'll find out who our back up QB is.

2) We'll find where Zach is in his "reset" process.

3) We'll find out what the CS thinks of Joe Flacco and his future.

4) We'll get a likely preview into what the 2023 training camp will look like.

5) We'll get an idea about what the offseason will look like.

6) But more than anything, we'll find out if Zach has a future with this team.

There's no doubt in my mind that the QB position, moreso than any other position group on the team, is holding this team up. With certain ongoing issues like the OL, it's my belief that the NYJ are a legitimate SUPER BOWL contender right now if not for the QB spot.....

No surprise. Flacco is done. Even though Wilson has struggled he would still give the Jets a better chance to win then Flacco. Joe will probably retire after this year.

Great news for the Jets and Zach Wilson. This will be another learning experience for him. I agree with the fans who think Joe Flacco should be cut today, but if somehow Mike White can't play, then you are down to 1. Wilson 2. Streveler at QB. Maybe that is not too big of a difference, with Flacco looking so brutal last week, but probably safer to keep him on the roster.

 

Nah, Mike White is playing. He said they'd have to peel him off the field. At least you'll be able to see your boy Wilson in his jersey though instead of a hoodie. Win / win
