The Jets do control their own destiny. Win out and they’re in no matter what anyone else does.

I liked your post up till where you started saying the players should be angry not upbeat...in a a way I think they are both but they let the upbeat side show (as they should)

I think plenty of FANs are angry and upset ..especially at MLF questionable game calls..where's the HC doing some oversight here??? Hope we get a breakthrough Sunday

I used to think a team (our team?) needed to be really good in all facets, especially at QB, before launching a sincere bid for a SB run.

But not anymore. After 2009 and 2010 and after seeing a bottom feeder Bengals squad with zero Oline to speak of vault themselves into the SB, i now say this:

Any time your team is in the top half of the league, like 16th and up, is time to strike.

Our time is NOW. And it starts Sunday, at home, against the Lions.

We're in found money territory this season. If the season was going to slip away from the team I have been watching for the past decade, it usually happens in the first 3 weeks.

Stop it! Zach let the season slip away with the two (2) losses to the Pats. Jets were the better team except for the QB.

So by that "logic", the QB is entirely responsible for W/L, and thus MW has further let the season slip away with 2 losses in the last 3 games.

I'd consider it slipping away if expectations were high going into the season. What's happened this year shows me we can compete with any team, but are not quite ready to go on a Super Bowl run.

Every up and coming team hits this point where you have to stop shooting yourselves in the foot, and learn to close out games.
For some, like Cincy last year, it just clicks and they go on a run. For others, it's the following season after adding a couple more pieces or a coaching change, and sadly for some, they never get over the hump.
I don't know which one we are yet, but it feels like we're on the cusp.

It’s been a good season. Every game has been at least competitive, save for I guess the Bengals game, which I missed. That was all I was looking for this year and I’m not disappointed.

Every die hard fan base is like this with their team.

Just gotta let it play out. This team has a super bowl caliber defense and will give them a great chance to win all of their remaining games.

For sure he should have been sat one-half earlier than he was. Let's hope that lack of decision making by the CS doesn't burn us. We'll never know if we would have won the 2nd pats game tho.

All the help is coming, Patriots still have to play Buffalo, Miami & Bengals...I see at least 2 losses, more like 3, & also play an unpredictable Raiders. The best chance we have for playoffs is to knock Miami off in the last game of the season. They play Buffalo, Patriots, Packers & JETS! Jets will own tie breaker. The Chargers have a very easy schedule left , so I don't see us beating them out for a playoff spot. Our season may all come down to the last game of the season with Miami...win & your in. But of course we have have to take care of business these next 3 games.

Your trolling - because logic avoids Zach's production in both Pats game. Shall I screenshot?

But you can point to a single-source of underperformance with ZW in both Pats games. MW played well enough to win both Vikings and Bills. Not his fault some other players didn't deliver also. Braxton drop, Flacco/MC fumbles, bad blocking, etc...

So because I disagree with your POV I'm "trolling"? LOL! Screenshot whatever you want, I don't care.

Would the "logic" be more understandable to you if I pointed out how the Jets were the better team against the Vikings and Bills but White couldn't get them into the EZ enough?

Jets DID NOT have better record than the Vikings or the Bills going in.
Jets DID have better records than the Pats both games going in.

The Jets are not better team than Vikings or Bills. Please stop saying that. It's just not a factual statement or even right to say.

The Jets had the better team on the field in both of those games based on the stats.
