He was playing mistake free football and the team was winning. There was absolutely no reason to make a change until it became apparent in the middle of the second New England game that he was undoubtedly holding the team back. He absolutely should have made the change and he deserves blame for that but up until that point there’s no way he could have or should have made a change. Mike White ended last year by throwing a bunch of horrendous picks. Why would you assume that he’d play mistake free football which is what you need to do to win with your running game and elite defense?
Mike White had 1 bad game probally injured against what was the best defense in the league and the Jets knew this , Zack Wilson had 20 bad games, point is you should of played Mike White or Steveler the 1st 3 games to see what you had in them. What was the point of playing someone with no future on the Jets? No excuse for Saleh on this just like no excuse for not pulling Zack sooner.
Mike White had a terrible preseason and like I said showed almost no signs of being an NFL quarterback and his last outing last year. The difference is Zach Wilson is under contract and he is who you have put all of your time and effort into, since I know you were probably already typing “well that sounds like Zach Wilson“ before even finishing the sentence. If you want to blame anyone blame Joe Douglas for thinking Joe Flacco, who should’ve retired five years ago, is a capable NFL quarterback. no one outside of a few armchair GM’s on the Internet thought the Jets should have made a quarterback change before the second patriots game. Your emotions as a fan might have been telling you that and you ended up being right but that doesn’t mean you were right the whole time.
I read page one and will jump ahead and reply on page 7. After Gase, a LOT of Jets fans demanded a CEO type HC who 'oversees' the entire team. Well, we have that now. As far as Offense and Special Teams, during a game, I don't think Saleh has the balls to voice in on certain plays. I think he really thinks LeFleur is better at calling the game than he would be. Same on Teams. I don't think Saleh tells LeFleur what plays to call, he thinks LeFleur has it under control more than he possibly could, so he stays out of it.
TL; DR Not to be rude but this 'no paragraph spacing' screed is a steaming pile of shit that no one wants to read 1.0 TL; DR Not to be rude but this 'no paragraph spacing' screed is a steaming pile of shit that no one wants to read 2.0 .
So once again Zack Wilson was injured 1st 3 games, Flacco sucks and had no future, what was the point of starting Flacco over Mike White the 1st 3 games? What was the rational thinking behind this besides not having competition for Zack's job?
that’s just completely false, Wilson made plenty of mistakes. I don’t think the gameplan called for completing only 10 passes against Green Bay & Aaron Rodgers for example. It was mistakes that gave us that weak performance The team was winning is largely irrelevant to evaluating individual performances. If C.J. Ozumah missed a bunch of blocks but the Jets won 16-9, the staff would never say, “well we won, Ozumah must be doing something right.” They would identify that he was a weak link and maybe try Conklin the next week
I mean I just told you. White end of the season terribly last year, he had a terrible preseason and I’m pretty sure he was losing snaps to Streveler in camp. I can’t fault the coaching staff for thinking Flacco was the best option amongst the horseshit options we had and he could at least dump the ball off underneath a few times. I’m going to assume based off the way the season played out with Mike White becoming the back up halfway through, they wanted to see him get better in practice and that’s what he did.
Equating missed blocks from a tight end to the quarterback not turning over the ball is something I would assume not even you could pull off.
I equated it to a Qb throwing the ball in the dirt. A missed block and an incomplete pass both don’t help teams win
Preseason doesn't mean anything, and if not White than why not start Steveler why Flacco who has no future when you can start your other young Qb's to see what you have in them, once again this is not a rational answer. There was 0 reasons to start Flacco and Saleh blew it.
please get rid of this idiot at the end of the season, I know the Jets won't because of "imrprovement" but RS is a idiot. How can he let the Lions turn a dink and dunk into 60 yards at the end of the game, and than awful clock management at the end. What the fuck was he saving the 3 time outs for? I want to see no more of Robert Saleh, he has cost us 4 games now. This is a disaster. We may end up under .500 now. Improvement my ass Robert Saleh and Matt Lafleur need to be fired at the end of this year and a new regime needs to come in.
Saleh saves time outs like he saves receipts. Zach needs to get his head out of his ass and call time out there.
2022 is turning into the first season in a long time where I feel like the coaching staff may cost us a playoff spot.
What you mean they already cost us a playoff spot, atleast 3 games blown by Saleh this year. Take his dumbass nice guy routine out of New York this offseason and take his groupie Lafleur with him, he is a freakin clown. What the hell was he saving the 3 time outs for at the end of the game huh please tell me what a freakin duntz.
