It all isn’t on LaFleur although he called a trash game. Everything was clicking against the Bears because we were running early and often from under center to setup play action. We’re doing too many shotgun runs that are dead from the start.
The biggest difference in today's game is, the Bills got aggressive once they crossed the 50 and took shots. I want to see more of this from the Jets.
Yes. I was just expanding on your thought. We’re basically just running an air raid. He’s also calling plays like White has the arm of a 7 year-old. He doesn’t have a big arm but he can move the ball further down field than the play calling is allowing.
The Jets need to find a way to protect White for the final 4 games or he won't make it, he took atleast 5 big shots today, since he is not mobile he can't make up for this pathetic excuse of a Oline. We need to extend Mike White and get him a Oline this offseason.
He made more out route throws in this game than Zach Wilson has made this year. Possibly his whole career. He doesn't have a laser, but it's more than strong enough. Arm strength argument is just as solid as your "Mike White is 1-2." Keep up the incredible work. You can watch Wilson's pro day clip and pull it as much as you want.
Yep... should have been more strikes downfield. Saw some open guys on the broadcast that White should have gone to instead of a checkdown.
People fail to understand we aren't getting/drafting Pat Mahomes or Josh Allen and there's only 2 of them. So we gotta just get us a competent Qb and win with Defense and Mike White is definately competent. People on this forum act like every team has a Josh Allen/ Pat Mahome's and we can just get them for a 7th round pick. If people are not happy With Mike Whites play after witnessing Zack Wilson for 20 games your dellusional.
While we're fighting about which one of our QB's suck the least.... The last guy picked in the draft is playing like Joe Montana.
And who is to blame for that? Sure, maybe White was under too much pressure - as Zach consistently was - but people ripped Wilson apart for not seeing/completing these and not a peep about White failing to do so. There have been big plays to be made and they've been left on the field. Who to hold accountable if not the QB?
The difference is when protected and given time, White has been able to survey the field, anticipate, find the open man and throw with excellent accuracy and ball placement. Wilson can’t read the field, is late with throws, super inconsistent with poor ball location and refuses to stay in the pocket. He’s like a less physical Tim Tebow with a stronger arm. White has legit NFL starter traits and ability. When is the last time a Jets Qb has gone into the #1 team in the leagues home, against maybe the best defense in the league and in bad elements thrown for over 250 yards. Josh Allen was struggling more throwing the ball. I don’t know how you can look at that game and think White was terrible. If you are expecting prime Tom Brady level of play, then yes I can see a person being upset. Still Tom Brady could not win this game in his 2nd or 3rd year in the league.
update: I’m ready for it to continue he’s making some very legitimate high quality NFL throws. He’s cool calm and collected at all times in the pocket. After today he’s proven he’s tough as nails and should have the respect of every player, coach and fan. He has to be the guy from here on out and should be considered the favorite heading into camp next year barring catastrophe.
