He throws a really nice ball. Like, not "he has the ability to throw a really nice ball", but it's just his default setting. I'm so damaged by the QBs we've watched in my lifetime that I am surprised every time White makes a standard throw on the numbers - let alone the handful of special throws he made today as well. Plus he's tough as hell and wants to be out there for his teammates. This guy belongs in the NFL, and probably as a starter. Hopefully he keeps showing out and proves he's even more than that. I've been legitimately happy watching him lead the Jets.
Sam Darnold watching game highlights and seeing those hits on Mike White behind that offensive line...
I'm pretty sold on White for the rest of the year. But he has to improve his third down numbers. He needs to check down a little less and make just a little more happen on 3rd down and he can really be a good QB in the league for a long time.
White seems like he needs a solid run game to build on. We have failed him in that. MLF needs to figure it out.
The Yankees were the best team in baseball when they had Gallo and started losing once they traded him. Obviously Gallo was the reason they were winning because otherwise how could they have possibly been winning with him and losing without him. My logic is airtight.
Mike White is the complete deal. Guts, leadership and he made great throws any Qb can only dream of making today in terrible conditions. I hope the Jets see this and give him a new contract while he is still cheap this week!
