The problem here, the more I think about it, is that after blowing it .vs New England and coming up just short against the Vikings the Jets realistically need to win this one if they are going to accomplish anything this season playoff wise. Even if they fail to do so its still been a surprisingly good and hopeful year but if we're this close we might as well go ahead and do something this year too.... so this in a way is about a must win. How they are going to manage I'm not sure. But gotta find a way. Need White to be on target, get a few bounces, and hopefully Josh Allen finds it in that big heart of his to make a terrible mistake or two while he's looking ahead to Miami.
Looking at the Jets schedule. at Bills Lions Jaguars at Seahawks at Dolphins They probably can get in with 10 wins, but I think 11 definitely gets them in. So, 3-2 or 4-1. They have to win their home games and try to get at least one win on the road. Those two losses to NE might come back and bite them in the ass.
11-6 will get in. 10-7 likely to be on the outside like 10-6 was in 2015. As always the next game is a must-win.
Wanna feel old? Remember Abram Elam, Jets safety that got traded to Cleveland in the 2009 Draft when we moved up for Mark Sanchez? His son is Bills corner Kaiir Elam who will have to cover Garrett Wilson sunday
If it takes going 4-1 then that is doable. I think the "1" comes this Sunday. Tre'Davious White is back, and he is the Bills best shut down corner. Have to think they put him on Wilson.
Nah, White only gets about half the snaps these days and he doesn't follow receivers. If he's on the field, and if Wilson is on his side, then he will cover him. But I suspect that will be under 40% of the snaps in total
Control the clock. Hopefully the defense can come out early and pressure Allen and make him uncomfortable. Just keep that offense on the bench as much as possible, and run the damn ball. White will get his opportunities to make a good amount of different plays here and there, but White throwing 57 times is a big no no.
the sky isnt falling the supebowl is not the 13th game of the season expect a loss while hoping like hell we manage to pull it out... likelhood tht i see is, we keep it close then fade and they cover
To me they can afford one more loss and still make the playoffs guaranteed. I think 11-6 gets them in. If they lose to the Bills, then they can run the table. While the rest of the schedule isn't a cake walk it's not murder's row either. If they lose 2 and go 10-7, then the playoffs are a maybe. Would have to see how the rest of the AFC plays out. IMHO.
You guys are all correct but I kind of think 11 is what it will probably take and I don't think the chances are very high that if we can't beat the Bills we then run the table with no margin for error. I think we need to beat the Bills somehow and then either the Lions or the Seahawks games (traveling to Seattle is extremely tough all by itself) are going to be a down day.
I actually think we win this weekend. I still think they are looking past us right to Miami since if they lose to Miami again they are prob cooked for the division. Yes, Buffalo is healthier than when we played them last time with Poyer + Milano back, but a loss of Von Miller. On our side -- we are getting a significant upgrade at QB + a better RB in Bam than what we had with Carter/J Rob.
No chance the Bills are looking past the Jets. They are 9-3 and currently have the #1 seed. They will want to protect that as well as their lead in the division. They just lost to the Jets 20-17 so there is the revenge factor plus they need to improve on their divisional record which currently is 1-2. Another thing is the Jets are a good team. The Bills know this, and they know it will be a tough, physical game on Sunday.
Yea we can just agree to disagree. I think it's highly possible that they are looking past us to their game vs Miami. The Dolphins are a bigger threat to the division crown than the Jets and they know that. They also lost to them earlier in the year. Diggs is also on film screaming after last weeks win that they want the Dolphins. Wouldn't shock me one bit they circled next weeks game.
I think the Jets are better than Miami. The Dolphins 5 game winning streak came against teams with a .282 winning percentage. We saw what happened to the Dolphins when they played a good team in SF last week. I think the Chargers will beat them this Sunday night. What makes the Jets more of a threat to the Bills is the defense. The Jets defense pretty much keeps them in every game. When the Bills lost to the Dolphins, they had a lot of starters out. They still only lost 21-19 and they outgained the Fins by 300 yards. They stalled in the redzone that day. I guess we will agree to disagree, but I can't see the Bills looking past one rival (the tougher opponent) to play another rival.
There's something to that I think The bills are also kinda soft. I hope it rains, pours, snows. If they keep the game in Buffalo and not move it to Detroit they will face a physical Jets team in cold, wet weather. If they arent completely focused maybe the Jets push a few in the endzone early and they crack
Gotta stop Allen in the running game though. I am confident this D can at least slow the Bills passing game down. But on the 3rd and 7s type plays they will need to not let Allen run for 1st downs
They have been running the ball well with Singletary the last few games and trying to run Allen less. Allen will run of course but Singletary has been doing the heavy lifting lately.
If they win 11 the playoffs is a lock, 10 wins is very solid to make the playoffs. At 10 wins either the P*ts or Chargers need to go 4-1 to go to a tie breaker with the Jets but P*ts have Bengals, Dolphins, @Bills as well as @Raiders and Chargers have Dolphins, Titans, Rams left on the schedule along with an away game at Broncos, not going to be a walk in the park for them.
Coverage Map is out. I hate living in AFC North territory... Red: Jets/Bills Green: Ravens/Steelers Yellow: Browns/Bengals Orange: Jags/Titans Blue: Chiefs/Broncos (Late window)
