Steelers did it with Antonio Brown and he was good, and Bears did it with Tarik Cohen, maybe not the best idea I admit but atleast Moore, he aint doing anything much anyways. Were gonna need cap space to resign White and Big Q so cut Berrios he is not worth 7 mil a year!!
One of the posters said it in the other thread - why are they putting someone in cold to make the game winning catch? Great analysis. Taking that into account, Berrios is useless on this roster at his number if he’s not going to play offense. Good savings next year to cut him. Edit: credit to @jets_fan to the original Berrios point.
Someone had to lose the reps at slot to appease Moore. At least it was someone that brings something else to the table.
I blame the coaches he should not be in that position. Especially at crunch time 4th down go to your regulars.
Seems like he isn't. But like I posted before the coaches should have him only on special teams. It's obvious he is not a receiver. Putting him in at that crucial time was a bonehead call.
Again, he’s mostly in on 3 WR sets in the slot down by the goalline. This isn’t anything new. He scored on the WR Jet sweep early in the season, he’s usually apart of that package down there.
It hurt because I thought it was a catch and celebrated. It should have been. I still like Berrios. If we improve enough as a team he can be released so be it, I don't think that's the case now.
Singling Berrios for the loss is insane. We pissed away plenty of opportunities. Conklin was dreadful, the OL blocking for the running game was not existing, we couldn’t punch it in in the red zone in at least four or five tries. We continue to refuse to use Robinson in short yardage situations. We underutilize Mims particularly in the red zone. Let’s face it. It was a great battle, and Mike is a warrior, but offensively we were not efficient enough when it counted the most. We had two spectacular opportunities in the last minute and blew it. You can blame MLF all you want but execution was not crisp. Not by a long shot.
Braxton tried to body catch it. Really good receivers use their hands. Elijah Moore catches the ball. Simple. Not mad at that play though. MLF messed up the entire series. You run that ball 2-3 times including trying a sneak.
Anyone saying it was a bad throw needs just shut it. A NFL receiver is expected to catch it. Braxton Berrios is a good player, he needed to catch that there. He knows it. The ball was low and to the middle back shoulder. could it have been a inch more closer the middle of the chest, sure, but that’s a pretty accurate tight window throw. pls watch all angles
Yup, it's basically the cut and dry. He should have caught it. We know it, he knows it. Shit happens. There's other moments in that game that were more defining, that miss just really is noticable because it was one of the last plays of the game
A lot? Great? My man had 1 solid game as a receiver And is a fair catch machine. Hardly even good. Show me his alot of great games
He's never been great but he's been reliable as fuck for us. He's had some clutch moments and Is usually sure handed. He has to catch that ball, no excuses. At all. It's rare he misses on a pass like that though. It was a good ball. Should've been caught. I'm curious what his drop rate Is for the last three years. I don't recall him having a significant drop before like this. I could be wrong though. He's a good depth piece. Is he worth the money that was given? Probably not. We could do a lot worse though at the same time.
Conklin was dreadful today. I know he’s a better athlete than Uzomah, but CJ needed to jump and be featured today. The Vikings are all about letting you catch it and swatting your hands. Uzomah is all about squeezing the life out of the ball when he catches it.
Berrios has his role, catching the game winning TD on 4th down is not it. No idea why he was running that route. Either way he should’ve caught it but he’s a great role player that the CS should keep him in.
