    (1) Brady
    (2) Manning
    (3) Mcnabb
    (4) Palmer
    Brees, Hasselbeck- Debatable
Chad's head and shoulders above the rest

With all the Kelen "Toaster Oven" Clemens threads, please support this post, I would like to be beleive the majority of Jets fans are not brain dead.

Teams That Missed The Playoffs That Would be contenders with Chad

    (1) Denver Broncos
    (2) Miami Dolphins
    (2) Jacksonville Jaguars
    (3) Buffalo Bills
    (4) Minnesota Vikings
    (5) Washington Redskins

Not to mention Chicago and SD would be Superbowl winners. (I Guarantee Rivers is going to cost them)

Is this a serious thread or a sick joke?

    1. Brady

    5. Bulger
    6. Roethlisberger
    7. Brees

That's the people who are solidly better than Chad.

There are a couple of people who might be on that list next year with a little more experience too, like Rivers and Young.

Chad is probably about the 10th best QB in the league right now, which is to say still well above average and likely to start for most teams.

And yes, if you gave him the Ravens 2000 defense or this year's Chicago defense he'd win a Super Bowl. Which will be easier to do: find a great defense or find a great QB? I know where I would go.

Roethlisberger? He did everything he possibly could to de-rail Pittsburgh both in 2004 and 2005.

Chad would have won with Pitt last year to.

Bulger's numbers outside are hideous. Not to mention he plays with a great RB, great receiving tandem, and in the NFC west.

Bulger's winning percentage outside is .210%

I'd add Cutler to that list too as with experience, he is destined to be a great one.

But it's safe to say Chad is among the top third or top half of NFL QBs. That's not bad.

#4 on his list of teams that would be contenders with Chad should answer that question.

    5. Bulger

    7. Brees
    8. Rivers
    9. Carr- No help since he has been in the league
    10. Alex Smith-Watch and see
    11. Farve-Even if he was sixty
    12. Romo-He can throw it more than 30 yards on a spiral
    13. Kitna-He did it on the Lions
    14. Mcnair-Underappreciated Warrior
    15. Next year I will add the Qb for the Redskins, Vince Young and Matt Leinart

PLEASE NOTE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF LEINART NO OTHER QB ON THIS LIST HAS TO HAVE A GAMEPLAN DEVISED TO HIDE HIS LACK OF ARM STREGNTH AND MOBILITY EVERY WEEK. ALL OF THE ABOVE QUARTERBACKS CAN WIN WITH TWO GREAT WR'S UNLIKE PENNINGTON!

FOURTHANDLONG you must have been miserable when Chad was marching us up and down the field yesterday, without the threat of a run.

    Wow what a horrible list..
Kitna was the worst starting Qb in the league this year, bar none
Alex Smith is getting better but not on Chads level yet
Romo has had 4 good games, the rest disastrous
McNair should be way higher on your list
David Carr.. are you kidding me, he was probably the second worst QB in the league this year, right behind Kitna

Chad is anywhere between 7 -12 on the list..

not thinking Chad is tops in the league doesn't mean one is disappointed in seeing him play well. if you are going to attempt to stimulate conversation, at least attempt it to be a coversation grounded in logic and honesty, not specious and irrelevent positions.

It is quite humourous how Jake Delhomme is missing from these lists now. The last few years posters usually are drooling over him.

This year he played the same as he always has, throwing horrible picks at the worst times, but this year his defence wasn't as great and unable to overcome having him as the QB. And NOW everyone realizes how crappy he is.

Why can't people seperate a players talent (or lack thereof) from his teams?

How long does Rothlisberger have until everyone realises how his team was carrying him?

more importantly than where Chad ranks as an NFL Qb is where does he rank as a Jets Qb.. Right now he is unquestionably #1 on that list and until that changes he will remain the starter..

I am sorry for not adding Cutler to the list. Can somebody tell me if there is any other Qb on this list that the Pats would even dare to move their Lb's or Cb's close enough to the line of scrimmage to almost intercept a Bacwards lateral five yards deep in the backfield. Especially if those qb had Coles and Cothery to throw to on the outside. THE ANSWER IS NONE! That is how much respect the pats have for CHAD! HE S**KS! Period!

Bulger and Brees I wouldn't rank ahead of him until they do something in the playoffs. They both play in the weak NFC where putting up great #s is easy but neither has ever had playoff success.
