The only thing I'm mad about is the redzone play calling. Otherwise, it was exciting towards the end. Mike White made some really nice throws, would have been clutch if he hit Wilson on that streak route.
Let’s be happy to be playing meaningful games in December. This game while it was right there for us was not one of the must win games we need to have to make a playoff run. Same ole Jets would have packed it in at 17 - 3. There are a lot of positives you can build on from that game, our D was pretty rock solid against one of the better offenses in the league. QB play was miles ahead of what we were getting a few weeks ago. Garret Wilson and Bam were studs once again. The must wins are Lions and Jags. We also need to get one from Bills,Miami and Seattle which I think we will.
58 times... We had to pass... the run game just wasn't clicking. Better execution (and play calls?) in the red zone was the overarching problem.
Glad i stopped watching at halftime. I could see we were slow. Also second game in a row the defense hasn't seemed great in the first half. Bummed we couldn't punch it in from the one for a win. That would have been nice. Luckily i am a seasoned jets fan. I felt disappointed for a minute and that was it. Second half was much better spent at costco and watching the score on google
Jets made too many mistakes early on. White wasn't dead accurate but the receivers weren't helping. The forcing of Conklin into the offense was absolutely ridiculous.. and I like the guy but he's been mia all season and now you wanna force it cause it's his former team?
Good game Vikings, I like their drum action and am jealous of that stadium. I still don't see Cousins getting them to the Super Bowl
The results are what they are and the loss sucks … but I’ve never been more excited about the talent on our roster. Today will come and go. This team is loaded. I see nothing but winning seasons ahead of us.
More like we fell behind by two scores late in 1st half. That's when you have to throw to catch up. Defense knows you have to throw and can concentrate on stopping your pass game. Was disappointed in White. There were some drops, yes, but he didn't have a good day. Still, a good effort by the team. In another thread, I said Minnesota was one of the top teams in the league. Some replies said they weren't that good. A famous coach once said "you are what your record says you are." We were beat by a better team, but the Jets are not that far behind.
It's not always on the refs even though some here are always looking to that copout. Those early penalties were legit when first seen and when looked at again for verification.
I wish I had the cut up of it but the 3rd and 10 play before the INT, it looked like White could have maybe scrambled for 6-7 yards (maybe more?) to make that 4th down more manageable. Just a frustrating loss. 1 of a handful of plays goes our way and we win this one.
Why can't the Jets have a great prop like that? Maybe a large jet engine to blow the opposing team of their benches and back into the locker room. That would be cool.
