With the receivers we have on the roster, he can't be the guy that they go to there. Regardless, he's being paid handsomely to essentially fair catch punts. He needs to make the play when his number is called, and he came up short more than once today. Not on board with the idea of cutting him, though.
Keep being a miserable prick latching onto a knee jerk overreaction about the performance of a world class athlete that’s light years better at his job than you are at your’s and every other thing you’ve ever done or thought of doing in you short, miserable life.
Didn’t Berrios also muff the throw in the first quarter that led to the INT? Apologies in advance if I am wrong.
And for that, I should die? For your sake I hope someone with real mental issues doesn’t read your post and take your advice.
OP needs to just get the fuck out of here. Berrios has been a solid contributor to this team on special teams. If you want to blame someone blame MLF for shitty play calling with 1st and goal.
I’m perfectly content. You are the one literally wishing death on people who have a differing opinion from you on a sporting event. Is the internet a good place for you?
I agree he has regressed on offense, it's a tough play. I think its valid to give Berrios a bit of shit for not only that drop but his drop in play overall. I still think he is key part of the team
Jets can definitely upgrade him. His punt returning isn’t anything that can’t be replaced and he’s a non factor on offense. Even his little Jet sweep he isn’t running by anyone or breaking any tackles.
Some of these fair catches that he made throughout the season prevented them from bouncing further back. Like, really hard catches to fair catch that returners would usually just let bounce because they might drop it. But yeah, the drop in the redzone pissed me off.
Hey let's cut every player that makes a mistake on the field. For the really costly ones perhaps a public hanging, drawing and quartering in the parking lot of Florham Park. That'll teach 'em.
Wow talk about an overreaction. Guy is a pro-bowl return man, one of the fastest guys in the NFL and a quality WR3-4 and you're willing to cut him over one drop???
He doesn't have TDs on special teams but he very reliable out there and I don't feel scared that he is going to be fumbling. On offense he could do more but maybe the playcalling isn't calling for that.
