I love Gibril Wilson. I'd love him in a Jets uniform.

Definately...If the Jets gave up a 2nd for him that'd be robbery. I hope the Giants keep him, whatever...Just don't give up a 2nd rounder for him, much less anything. I'd rather adress elsewhere without having to give up anything or have another season with Coleman while Smith possibly pushes him out of the starting role.

yeah Gibril Wilson is a solid player. (not so much this year compared to last year tho) if we could get him for a 3rd rounder i'd take that in a heartbeat.

"thats why this "trade" doesnt make any sense. we drafted a safety in the 3rd round and now you want us to give up a 2nd rounder for a guy like wilson who doesnt even know what "coverage" means? like i said, we dont need another version of coleman"

dude, you are clearly a kid that has a grudge against the Giants because you are the only one that thinks he sucks. you are probably one of those people that see that the Giants D was ranked like 28 and said since their D sucks, everyone on that D must suck. if you ever watched a Giants game you would see that Gibril can clearly cover, he covers WR's and TE's all the time and shuts them down.

and before you said he sucks vs the run. that is probably the dumbest thing i have ever heard. he was probably the best player on the Giants vs the run and he is one of the better tacklers in the league

Although I'd like WIlson, he'll probably cost too much for the relatively little upgrade he'd present over Coleman, I'd pass. Plus, Smith impressed me thus far and looks to be a decent pick after all. Remember, he was a 3rd rounder and if Tangini drafted him that high, they must've seen some things that they liked.

He is just not nearly enough of an upgrade over what we already have to justify giving up any draft pick for, let alone a 1st day pick.. Safety is the least of our concerns anyway..

we atleast this eliminates 1 team that could make an offer for him. i just really hope our new GM resigns him so we dont have to get to the point of getting draft picks

My opinion hardly eliminates the Jets as I have no say over personell decisions. Although it would surprise me if we looked to upgrade the safety position.

As for the Giants, the best thing they could do is stockpile draft picks to replace any & all of the current misfits.

all they really need IMO is new coaches and a new training staff so we dont get injured as much. you put an actualy DC for aour D that can stay healthy and we have a good D.

i think in the draft we need a RB, CB, maybe LB, OL, WR and we should be good.

Didn't Giants fans say the same thing when Fassell was coach, now Coughlin has come and probably gone and it is the same. At what point does it become the players that need to be replaced?
