Some have pointed out that Chicago & Minnesota would have been perfect games for Zach to get back on track. Problem is that that "track" is pretty bad. I don't know what to make of the players wearing Mike F*N White t-shirts...
Erryone knowsd i prefer QBR.. but yeah... for me i see Rich Gannon type play from MW. Sustain consistent above avg and we can be in the mix I'd day we hadda couple above avg season, rest shit.
I am hoping for Kirk Cousins with a bigger arm. Kirk had very similar trajectory. Drafted as an older guy mid round pick, didn't play until he was 26, flashed then, and at 27 took his game to the next level. It's only fitting Mike is facing Kirk's team next, really looking forward to it.
thats very David Mamet of you " You can't close the leads you're given, you can't close shit, you ARE shit, hit the bricks pal and beat it 'cause you are going out!!!"
Haha I love the Tyler Conklin t-shirt Mike White has in return. Looks like the team energy has really shifted over the last week.
With the players wearing those shirts Zach is only gonna see it as a dig and in all fairness can it really be seen as anything else?
What I make of it is that the players are nudging the CS hard not to make a bad choice. The Mike White chants in the locker room last year were really telling. They were the verbal equivalents of a blanket party for ZW. The stuff this year is aimed more at Saleh. You really don't get an unlimited opportunity in the NFL even if the FO/CS wants to think otherwise. There are other disapproval tracks running down even if the powers that be don't like it. Fans. Teammates. Media.
What do you know about NFL team camaraderie or bonding? They are trying to find positives. Nothing stupid about what they are doing, they are having fun and whatever helps them have fun with football is important to team chemistry.
yes Zack has a very bad track record. Why didn't Zack see the open receivers in the two Pats games? Was it because he was under pressure when the receivers were open or because it takes him more time that you get in the NFL to read a defense, find the open receiver and throw him a catchable ball that doesn't land at his feet or sail too high over his head? The latter seems right to me. White on the other hand found the open receiver in the Bears game and threw a catchable ball to him before the pressure got to him. It's reasonable to believe that White would have done the same against the Pats who have a good defense or against any other good defense. White would probably have won the two games against the Pats. Why would the Jets risk losing more games and making the playoffs to develop Zach just because he was the 2nd pick?
In a vacuum the mike white gear’s cute but it could also come off as ‘in your face’ to what is still a teammate. Cliques are killers. And no reason to think that after beating a talent-stripped bears team that mike white is suddenly evergreen. .
Usually, a clique has to have more than one person in it. Yeah, it was a slap at Zach and it was a well-deserved slap. Don't think for a minute the players don't know about the backstory of Zach's rich uncle running JetBlue and is pals with Woody. This has been building up for a long time and Zach's presser just opened the valve. I have no idea how Zach gets the locker room back especially if MW comes in and suddenly starts to look like Brady. They look at Mike White, and they see a lunchbox guy in jeans and a pickup truck. They look at Zach Wilson, and they see Palm Beach.
