The suffering finally came home to roost. Amazing stat for Garrett Wilson ---- he won the award w/3 different QBs (Flacco, Wilson, White). Imagine the distinct possibility that a NYJ will win both Rookie of the Year awards (offensive & defensive).
Not to take away from the o.p.s point but Jets Twitter is a different animal and the reason for at least 3 of these winners
Jets fans are the loudest and hardest working keyboard warriors, all it takes is to get nominated. But hey, as long as they have this silly system, why not! If Jets fans don't abuse it, someone else will. Plus GW probably deserved it anyway, that was awesome game by him.
Instead of Pepsi rookie of the week award we should just call it New York Jets rookies of the week award.
Leading rookie receiver - Chris Olave with 822 yards. Leading rookie running back - Damion Pierce with 788 yards. Leading rookie interception leader - Tariq Woolen with 5. Number of Pepsi awards combined - 0
I’ll take this time to eat crow on trashing Joe Douglas. Even if his ZWilson pick fails, he clearly understand what he’s doing in terms of roster construction and he’s a trade magician.
I don’t know what their week by week output looked like when the Jets won but it’s quite possible some of those those other guys have been more consistent while the Jets players have had standout games the weeks they won: It certainly is Jets fans voting over and over again but they come out harder when any of our rookies have a good game.
Well, you highlighted him having 5 int's, how has the rest of his play been? Struggling to see what was hard to understand tbh lol No good having 5 ints if he is also conceding 100 yards to WR's in between lol
