At this point he'll end up working for his uncle at Jet Blue as a goodwill ambassador...

Discussed this before, look at how the team talked about Mike White last season - before he even took a snap, and how they have talked about him since. I don't know if Mike White has the talent to carry this team, but that locker room has had his back for a long time. It, and a lot of the static (real and in between the lines) from Jets players reflects how they have judged Zach Wilson as a leader and a professional. Then you see/read stuff like this, this team (its players, if not so much its brain trust) has wanted Mike White in there for a while now.

All you can hope for Zach is, he is fortunate that he is still very young. He has a ton of physical talent, and he has miles to go in terms of being a leader and a professional. BUT, he's going to get that opportunity to watch, learn, and mature. If he's smart, he comes into camp next season as true professional, dead set to earn the trust of his teammates in the film room, in the locker room and on the field. He also should watch the famous clip of Jerry Glanville explaining what "NFL" stands for, "Not For Long."

I know the Wilsonians will disagree, but I think MW being just a larger, taller more physically mature QB made a difference in him being able to see the entire field. 6'-4" vs. 6'-2" matters.

His teammates love him and there's just a whole different energy with the offense. That means a lot:

I don't know what the future holds or how long this ride will last, but watching Mike White play and watching the effect it has on his teammates is fun. The offense looked like they were having fun today, and that was fun to watch.

It was such a pleasure to watch Mike White out their dealing. Instead of the agonizing moments Zach takes to find a receiver, White's ability to find multiple receivers today, 10 in all, was tremendous. Go Jets.

Mike White had a 149.3 quarterback rating today.
Zach broke 100 once this season.

We now have a quarterback... let's go!

Elijah Moore is so good in space, such a shame ZW held him back.

He’d panic as soon as he saw the kicker running straight at him.

Well this is a great example for Zach to be watching and learning from. If MW keeps playing like this Zach likely doesn't see the field again this year. That said, they'll be playing a number of tougher teams than the Bears so that will be a truer test of White. I do believe though that he'll perform better than Zach has, and at least be competent, and with the weapons they have that should be enough - another lesson Zach has to learn.

I still think Zach is the long term future for the Jets if he uses this time to watch and learn, but that's not a lock, maybe MW is which wouldn't upset me if he continues to win games for them. In the end my loyalty is to the Jets, not to any one player no matter how much I believe in that player.

I think honestly it’s the fact that he sat and learned the NFL game for as long as he has and he never gave up. This kid is a leader through and through. He just instinctively knows where to go with the ball. If Zach sits for years (something he’s needed to do from day one) and keeps his nose to the grind he’d probably be a much different QB as well. The NFL game is incredibly complicated. Unless a guy is a weapon with his legs or an absolute genius prodigy with a ton of high level college experience I just don’t see how you can expect success.

White has to beat Minnesota, Buffalo and Miami. Simple as that. #noexcuses.

Sometimes you just have it as a leader and everybody picks up on that.

Wishful thinking.. Unless Zach changes his attitude, he's a dead end. Did you look at his demeanor on the sidelines today? Had the 1000yd stare all game long. The team is balling out and Zach just stares off into the distance. Acting like his bike just got taken away by his parents for misbehaving. He as ALOT OF GROWING UP TO DO before he could even be in the running for a leader of MEN. He's not a man yet. Manchild yes. Man? no... Still a baby mentally. He can bang all the milfs he wants but that doesn't make him an adult.

White can’t beat Miami. They need to be stopped as well. This offense doesn’t work if we are down 21 at the half.
