The only thing I think is unfair is that people will compare Zach VS. Patriots to White , with Cory & Nate back in the lineup, VS Bears. I am not downplaying the fact that Zach has not played very well for the most part, but he has played good enough to be 5 & 2 this season. Hope this is the wake-up call Zach needs to salvage his career. I have faith that Zach will come back strong .
same with bicketybam I don’t blame cval- he’s a SUNY Amherst guy, they haven’t seen good QB play in like… ever
Win or lose, White is a lot easier to root for. You have a guy, a father of 2, who has been overlooked his whole career and worked his ass off to get to this spot. He’s taking over for an immature kid who had everything handed to him
The fact that the spread on the game didn't change when the Wilson benching happened is very telling.
Wonder if White will take a shot or two downfield since all we hear is he favors the short passing game. Keep the Bears on their toes.
The Mike White Era, I can't take it anymore, The time to stick White or Streveler in was last week in the 3rd Q and that train has left the station. Choo-choo!, only now it's the train to hell.
So this is what competent QB play looks like. Mike White picked up right where he left off when he went out hurt in the Indy game (not the Bills game fortunately). What a night and day difference he makes for the offense. And it really highlights how bad Zach has been... Can't wait to see how he does against some better teams, but pumped about his performance!
I'm trying to think of some circumstance other than injury that Zach sees the field again this year if MW keeps playing at this level.
He doesn't even have to play at this level - which is All-Star distributor. There are several levels he could fall too and still be a lot better than ZW.
There isn't one. If MW can play even remotely close to this level for the rest of the year, Zach will stay on the bench, as he should.
