Another way Gase screwed this organization for years to come was beating the Rams in 2020, if Jets don't upset the Rams Trevor Lawrence is a Jet. Adam Gase did nothing right, we were supposed to suck for Lawrence and we are talking about superbowl this year. Instead now we are stuck with this mental midget.

I think Booger is spot on. Plenty of posters here have been calling it out as well.

It’s not just the poor play, it’s the attitude about it. Between his comments around people not being in the building, saying “no” when asked if he let the defense down, and saying he’s ignoring his critics, he just seems liked he’s in his own impenetrable little bubble.

Accountability is a huge factor when looking at a persons ability to improve at anything they do, whether you’re an NFL QB or a cart wrangler.

He's made the catastrophic error of talking complete bs to NYers.

How about his attitude doesn't matter. The fact that he can't play QB in the NFL does.

At best he's a multi-year project and that project is better pursued off the field because he obviously learns nothing on it.

I would be curious if he has the same take about his own kids since he was an NFL player and now makes $2 million a year with his contract from ESPN. Do they automatically not take accountability? Just because someone grows up with money doesn't mean they lack accountability. Garbage take.

His attitude matters with regards to whether or not he’ll work to improve his play and become a leader. A bad attitude pretty much guarantees another round 1 QB bust.
Does Booger come from generational wealth? I think there’s a difference, or rather there can be. I don’t know how either family raises their kids but we have evidence that Wilson isn’t big on accountability, which isn’t uncommon for people who feel entitled do to their lineage.

Well, there you have it folks: Chris Simms thinks we are all being unfair to Zach Wilson

"People use anything to jump on Zach Wilson "

He must honestly believe we would all rather see Zach Wilson lose than the Jets win! Of all all those self promoting, so called "draft experts", this guy is the biggest piece of garbage out of all of them. He will NEVER admit he is wrong, even after making quotes like this:

"For my money, he is the best quarterback in the draft; when I studied him, I felt like I was watching Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes-ish kind of play"

    https://www.skysports.com/nfl/news/...uarterback-in-2021-nfl-draft-says-chris-simms

What a piece of garbage he is. See, the problem isn't him, its all of us.

If it wasn't for nepotism, this loser would be pumping gas at the local Exxon.

D.J Reed apparently has no issue with Zach's comment from his presser. Link.

Jets cornerback D.J. Reed Jr. spoke to Wilson about the answer.

“I talked to Zach, and he didn’t mean it like that as far as he didn’t mean he didn’t let down the defense,” Reed told PFF. “He just didn’t like the way that the reporter worded the question. He felt like if you watch the whole interview, he took account for what he did and they’ve got to figure it out, but they kept egging him to answer the question, and he got a little frustrated, which he said was a mistake. And he answered, ‘No, no’ like that, but that was more so at the reporter. But watching it, it comes off like he’s not the problem or anything.

“But he knows that he needs to play better, the offense needs to play better. He’s very aware of that. The media nowadays is going to blow that up. It definitely was a tough situation, but everyone in the locker room knows he didn’t mean it like that. We’re moving on and getting ready for Chicago.”

Zach's playing terrible, that is not up for dispute, but it's hilarious to me that everyone is citing 1 example of him saying a stupid thing as proof that he's entitled/spoiled/etc. He's a 23 year old who said the wrong thing in front of 30 microphones, let's leave it at that.

I don't think he is entitled or spoiled. I just think he is a poor leader.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he same the exact same thing in a one-on-one interview with an SNY reporter on the post-game show before he faced those 30 microphones?

I'm surprised that the Jets haven't pushed Wilson to meet with the media this week for a damage-control session to clarify or explain away his post-game comments. Being incommunicado is probably not the best look for Wilson this week.

Are you referring to this interview he had with Wischusen?

It's the only thing I could find in terms of a one-on-one interview with Zach after Sunday but I don't hear anything resembling that quote here. I did hear him say, "I've gotta find a way in those conditions to make those throws."

So, I think you're wrong? But if you can find the interview you're referring to, I'll stand corrected.

Without being in the locker room, I have no way to confirm or refute your opinion.

Yeah, maybe I'm wrong. I was doing some channel switching between the post-game show and the NFL network.

Sounds like at 11:35am ET we should know more about who's gonna be under center on Sunday.

Which is why I said "I Think" he is a poor leader, not "I Know" he is a poor leader. :)

I mean… If he’s firm about evaluating things based on performance, then you have to bench the player who just went 9/22 for 77 yards.
