At the very least, next years TC will be an honest and open competition for the starting QB job. This last year was fixed. I think Zach's entitlement card has been officially pulled. We can only hope so.

This is really the best way to look at it. Any upgrade at the position - almost any at all in any way - and they could have won both Patriots games.

It's important to point out factors that bring the argument to a head:

It depends on your outlook of things. Do you think this season is about developing Zach or do you think this season is about making the playoffs? I think the vast majority would have said, at the beginning of the season, this season is about developing Zach. What no one accounted for was the geometric rate at which this entire team came together. They Started winning quickly they realized their confidence quickly. They now BELIEVE they have what it takes to not only get to the playoffs or even win the division. No, they BELIEVE they have what it takes to win it all. There's no timer in their head that says they have to spend a year being losers before they're allowed to start winning. They think their time is NOW. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that stance. In fact, I love it and celebrate it. Tell the rest of the league and all of the other critics that they're coming to shove your words right up your ASS. Whether you like it or not that's the way it's going to be.

Make no mistake, what's happened CHANGES the objective. To some degree, I don't even think Douglas and Saleh expected the Jets to play as well as they have. I know most fans certainly didn't. But those very same fans have changed their expectations for the team also. They are on board with the players less the QB. They really can't help but like the lofty expectations the players have set for themselves. They love it and they are rooting with heart and soul for them to do exactly what they are capable of.

The fact is, this team is good enough to win the SB RIGHT NOW. The only thing they are missing is the QB.

In contrast the QB is a selfish, entitled little sh*thead that stood up at the podium and threw his team under the bus by failing to take responsibility for his actions. And honestly there's no reasonable answer as to why Zach has not been able to put things together. He's got EVERYTHING he needs right in front of him. Joe Douglas stopped at nothing to put the very best around Zach and he very clearly succeeded.

Whether Zach likes it not, too bad, it's time for the training wheels to come off. It's time for Saleh and Lafleur to hold Zach's feet to the fire. Because the fact is if Zach suddenly gets it, the SB should be square in the team's sites.....

In my opinion, starting Mike White on Sunday is a win-win.

First off, it wins over the fans and locker room.

Secondly, if things don't go well in first half for White, you put Wilson back in at start of 2nd half. If he plays well, he looks like a hero and wins back over some people. If he doesn't, then we have a huge problem of who will play the remainder of the season at QB.

I still fully expect Zach to get the nod on Sunday but if the offense continues to look like it did against the Pats, Mike White comes in to start the 2nd quarter or after halftime.

This is likely going to happen. Right now they are putting Wilson on notice and letting the team know that everyone is held accountable even if you are a top 3 pick.

You’re most likely right. He starts on Sunday but if he looks anything like he did last week then he sits and White goes in until further notice

Zack shouldn't be starting period on Sunday enough is enough he has done everything in his power not to start on Sunday or maybe even be in the Nfl. If it was Elijah Moore or Denzel Mims who make comments like that they wouldn't even see another snap this season. So why the double standard? And those guys don't suck as much as Zack.

Zach will start and Saleh will have to do one helluva sales pitch to the team. Saleh really didn't want to bench Zach but decided to split the baby by this "short leash" bullshit trying to make everyone happy. Zach will have a decent game against a mediocre defense and suddenly all sins forgiven. In the end, Zach learns nothing and maintains his entitled status. Just another year flushed down the drain because the QB sucks.

Saleh: "It's not all about the QB."

Damn straight it's all about the QB. The only thing holding this team back is a QB who does not specialize in negative yardage plays. Aside from the QB, the rest of the team is pretty damn good and has shown tremendous effort, determination and resiliency all season. Unfortunately, the effort and production is being wasted due to Zach's horrid play.

Nice to see Saleh changing his tune in just a couple of days, from saying Zach was the QB to all options are on the table. Sure, it may be a ploy by Saleh to light a fire under Zach's ass, but now that coach has left the door open for a change, Wilson will have to put up or sit down. Kudos to Saleh for getting it right by tightening the screws on Zach.

Way too much at stake here for Saleh & Company to bet it all on a QB who has yet to show he has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. If Zach does get the nod against da Bears, it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure with his starting job being on the line. He's already playing like he's scared shitless.

As for Zach's personal background and his comments to the press, who gives a flying fart? The only thing the guy should be judged for is his play on the field, which has been nothing short of abominable. When you play well and win, people will ignore you being an insufferable prick. However, when you stink up the joint and lose, all bets are off, including the one made by your coach when he "gifted" you the #1 job for just showing up.

So did Dan Mario, Brett Favre, and even Namath. But when you aren't in the bottom of the league in every category and a total bust people look past it, when you aren't you look like a village idiot.

Over reaction Monday hasn't transitioned into tepid Tuesday yet.

Zach was terrible. But so was the running game, which gave him no help. The WRs, contrary to popular opinion, were not separating that often. Yes Zach missed some throws and passed on a few open receivers (Moore), but this BS about receivers open everywhere is untrue. Receivers open on the opposite side the QB is looking doesn't really count.

Zach was a big part of it but the entire offense could have played better that game.
