He’s garbage and I’m confident the organization knows it’s this year or bust for him to turn it around.
I'm telling you, Gardner Minshew would be the perfect fit. He wouldn't cost us much in terms of resources, so we could focus on building the team. And he put up better numbers than any Jets QB since Pennington on the Doug Marrone-coached Jaguars. The same Jaguars that are now making Trevor Lawrence look bad by comparison. (He also has a passer rating over 100 in the action he's gotten with the Eagles.) He doesn't have a big arm, but you don't need a big arm in this offense. If LaFleur schemes receivers open, Minshew will hit them like Garoppolo does in SF, and frankly, Minshew may be the better of the two.
Wow, he actually did something to piss me off more than answering ever question with “I’m gonna watch the tape.”
Who was the scout that said Zach had character issues coming out of BYU? He comes from money and shows it by acting like an entitled prick.
someone is gonna say he had pressure in his face or something dumb for why he missed a WR wide open with nobody around him this guy stinks plain and simple
I think we tried to make it as simple as possible for Zach today after the previous game against the pats. I think the On-line was bang average to bad but not awful and he had time to make quick decisions and didn't. He missed on more throws than I want to remember and those were not pretty. It's like our playbook is shrinking because he can't/won't hit anything. We couldn't run because the pats did not respect Zach at all and just packed the box to stop any run. He gets to the end of the year as QB #1 and maybe a QB change if this happens again next week. I fully believe that QB is holding this team back and the CS know this too. I fully expect some of the Scouting team have been told to start working on QB evaluation already/pro team looking at the off-season. I was sat on the fence about Zach and I now don't think he's the guy. Hope he shows me wrong though! Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Where are the Zach apologists? Why are they hiding?? I need a breakdown of how great he played today.
The character issues things are always overblown. What they mean is the guy rubbed the source the wrong way at some point. Marino had character issues. Roethlisberger had character issues. Geno had character issues. Mostly character issues is shorthand for I don't like that guy and by saying "character issues" I can say that without looking like a total prick.
I said it back in December 2020, well before the draft, and I'll say it again. Zach Wilson = James Morgan. One was a 4th round pick and no longer in the league, the other... well, you know the story.
Marino still has character issues Thats why he got booted from cbs i got a friend whos a diehard dolphan and said he s a major dick
He was on the 27 yard line when he decided to check it down. He was on the 25 by the end of his follow through. The closest pass rusher was on the 30 and blocked. I don't know if he's being lazy, his mechanics are that bad, or he's spooked by nonexistent pressure, but regardless, a QB doing that doesn't belong on an NFL field.
He comes off that way in press conferences. It seems like his teammates like him, so I'm not going to come out and say he's rubbing his teammates the wrong way. However, I could see the defense being annoyed with his answers today.
