If he's not self aware this will get real bad for him. Fanbase and media are circling. If he's gonna come off like a jerk all bets are off
Does it seem like something is screwy with Zach's mechanics? It looked like he was dropping down and throwing sidearm, even when he didn't have to. It also looked like those sidearm throws were the ones that were sailing all over the place.
On some level I appreciate his confidence but it's really a defense and just arrogance. Him saying they didn't let the defense down is arrogant and avoiding responsibility. This defense let up 3 points and the offense led by you couldn't muster 6 points. Take a hell of a lot more ownership than that dude Oh and please nobody blame the wind. That's ridiculous
I wish there was any evidence of this but there just isn’t. We’re stuck with Zach whether we like it or not
Maybe we should give him a call. It's a win-win for the Jets. Gives those of us who remember him a nice bit of nostalgia while also providing the team with a QB who is more functional than the current one.
If we're going to play Zach going forward, just run the read option. He's fast enough to pick up some first downs that way, and he isn't good enough to worry about him getting hurt.
I don’t think so. I think we as fans just like to fall back on mechanics being the issue when a guy sucks. Wilson’s mechanics are fine. He’s just an extremely inaccurate quarterback that is lost as to what’s going on at the LOS and has a ton of trouble finding passing lanes.
The issue right now is that Zach Wilson has none of the skills you need to be an NFL QB and there is no arm on earth that is going to make up for a total lack of skills. I don't know what Saleh is thinking about at this point but you have to wonder if there is a hidden mandate from the owners that Zach Wilson is untouchable. We just threw away a potential playoff spot because we couldn't make a necessary in game change at QB. Think about that for a second.
Which has got to be hard to swallow for any Jets fan (or any Jets defensive player for that matter), considering that quote is coming from a player who has less than zero reason to be arrogant about anything.
Not that he has ever been amazing, but when Zach is playing the Patriots he acts like they are holding his Moms bestie hostage.
Boy Justin Fields would have look great for the Jets. Maybe we should have followed all the original mock drafts and taken the OSU QB. Oh hindsight is 20/20, and some even myself brought myself into the BYU kid. Hell, he’ll eventually turn it around, Zach will be a stud. Oh wait Zach is questionable and I have concerns. Zach needs to prove himself, hey asshole the Jets are 4-1 with Zach as a starter shut up. Well what is the story now? Mike White We will not make the playoffs
Zach’s just not the guy. Time for the FO to figure out who might be available this offseason because depending on anything from Zach next season is just a fool’s errand.
It’s a tough spot for a 23 year old kid from our west. He sucked today, but he’s obviously frustrated.
I think we'll get lucky to win 8 games. You can't win games with an offense that is making a negative contribution to the team and that's a charitable assessment of the Jets offense right now.
Where are the positivity clowns they have gotten angry whenever someone (rightfully) says Zach Wilson sucks?
