It's been a way too long since we've done one of these, it always makes the celebrity deaths through the year more exciting if we can cheer their demise on. Anybody interested in doing one? Rules: You get points based on the age of the person you select should they die, for example Charlie Sheen is 50 years old, you would subtract 50 from 100 and that leaves you with 50 points. Martin Sheen is 75, you would subtract 75 from 100 and that leaves you with 25. You get 10 extra points for the first qualifying death, 10 extra points for a suicide and 20 extra points if murdered. The person selected must be a celebrity, politician or athlete. No terrorists, no people on death row and no animals. There would be a panel of myself and another 2 posters who were interested in being an admin to determine whether or not the selected person qualifies as a celebrity. For example nobody knows who the drummer of some crappy band is but everyone knows who the drummer of Def Leppard is. Obviously these things are subjective which is why I would have 2 other posters to help judge. You will get 5 picks, the pool will start on January 1, 2023 and end on January 1, 2024. If your pick kicks it before the start date you will get another pick at the end of that current round if we are still drafting. There would be a snake draft and you will have 10 hours from the time the last pick is made. Should you miss your pick you will have to wait until the end of the round to pick and should you miss twice you will be removed and your picks will be forfeited and cannot be picked up by any other players. The more entrants the better so get signed up. I think we'll try to get the draft started by December 1st. If you have any other rules for the game let me know and we will see if it sounds good. To get your name on the list just cut and paste the previous entrants list on to your post and add your name. I'm hoping we can get 10-12 entries, 5 and like you say we just won't get enough blood. Working on my draft board now, looking for the right mix of lay up old timer deaths mixed with a couple long shot younger ones that are living on the edge.
