Jets fans are placing wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much importance on THIS game. yeah yeah yeah, i hate the Pats too. but its the long game i am focused on
this. this SEASON is what we need to look at once its done. do you best, be a goldfish and swim forward.
Yes. The Patriots beat the Bills last season with only 3 passing attempts the entire game. We don't have the same physical ground game that they do, but we had enough of one to do the same thing at the end of that game. The Bills defense was spent.
Oh, so because it happened once , according to YOU, that makes it true all the time? Are you f*cking 10 years old? There is NO way you are going to beat a Bellichick coached team when you have an idiot at QB making idiot moves with the football. You don't get to ad lib your way out of a game in NE. You have to use real live strategy and dedication to that strategy. Zach is an immature idiot at times and he very clearly showed that EVERY time he's played Bellichick.
Just shut the fuck up already. You're calling me 10? You post like a fucking child. Don't worry. You have it all set up to shit all over Wilson if we lose. If we win you will be like a fart in the wind.
Quite frankly, your constant insults of Zach and the Jets, mostly without any merit whatsoever tend to highlight who the real, immature idiot you continuously make reference to is.
It's pretty damn important. The Jets need at least 10 wins to get into the playoffs, and this is probably the 4th-easiest game remaining to get to 10. And 10 is no guarantee. Winning also puts the Patriots firmly in the rearview mirror. Giving them a H2H tiebreaker, and a tie in the standings, and the Jets' road to the playoffs gets a lot harder. It basically forces the Jets to beat Buffalo or Miami, or win every other game. And then there's all the other narrative stuff on top of all of it.
I think it is going to take 11 wins to get in the playoffs. I think odds are pretty good some team in the AFC East will win 10 and miss out.
I know this is splitting hairs but I feel like we should stop calling it “hero ball” until it actually leads to heroics once in a while. So far it hasn’t been boom or bust, it’s just lead to back breaking turnovers or missed 3rd down conversions.
Win or lose we might just see these chumps in the playoffs. Getting a win over them now means that they might not have our number.
I think the term Hero Ball is usually inspires a negative connotation to describe a QB that is trying to save the day all by himself. Bart Scott said it well on SNY, it's selfish play where the guy is always looking for the home run, not trusting his O-line and putting them and himself at risk with the endless rollouts. That was definitely the way he played against the Pats, and the opposite of the way he played against the Bills.
Gotcha. I always conjure an image of Brett Favre where he could win the game or lose it with some amazing or completely ill advised throw.
Oh, I'm so sorry my very logical take on the usage of an immature 23 year old kid offends you. Are you having sex with Zach? Just remember also you started this crap. If you'd just started with logical posts we wouldn't be here right now? I hope you realize that? Asking Zach Wilson to play playground football against a Bellichick coached team is pure foolishness....
If the TRUTH about Zach bothers you perhaps you shouldn't say anything at all? And make no mistake, Zach's actions in the NE game are the very height of SELFISHNESS. As if somehow the rest of the team are a bunch of amateurs and he has to save the day. It's 100% immature and STUPIDITY...
I couldn't agree more but it's for a lack of a better way to describe it? It IS very selfish on his part. It's as though he thinks he can match wits with Bellichick one on one. Pure stupidity. And I'm certainly not down on Zach. I want him to succeed as much as anyone. It just seems like describing the way he plays has gotten a few posters panties in a bunch? They'll just have to get over it....
