Yeah... that was good to see. I think once his knee gets back he'll prove to be another JD brownie point player.
Seriously! I don’t want to hear any shit about any teams injuries….I doubt any team has had as many injuries to key players as we have… don’t forget we lost arguably our top three offensive players in AVT, Hall, and Davis. We’ve had all our tackles on IR as you mentioned…we had to play Flacco for three games…it’s a real tribute to the depth that JD has built…we’ve elevated the bottom of the roster up quite a bit closer to the starters, and we’re starting to see some true studs develop in QW, sauce, GW, Breece Hall…I’d say our edge rushers are not in the elite category….we don’t have a Von Miller or a Khalil Mack but we’ve got a bunch of very good ones…adding a true elite edge guy would really amp this defense up to top three level,I think…
So far I have only seen one post in this thread giving our offensive line credit for the great job they did, especially in the second half.
I gave the entire team from top to bottom credit, it was an amazing team effort. But you are right, with all the injuries and prior criticism, they deserve to be singled out. Best I have seen the O all year. I think Zach staying put in the pocket was also a plus.
I think Herbig deserves a special stud mention. He made the lead key blocks in both TDs scored and since he’s entered the line uo has really stabilized the position.
There’s an article in the Post mentioning how physically exhausted Herbig was after the game in the locker room ….. played a great tough game - was mauling people out there.
Refs surprising stud. Finally an NFL game where it felt like I was just watching 2 teams play football without a third team butting in every 5 minutes with game changing calls. I truly hope that is how they want officiating to be
If you believe Moore is a "Dud" that's on the coaching staff not the player. How can he shine if they don't turn on his light?
Ya think he grabbed Mikey by the throat, put a .45cal in his mouth and said: "Run the f'n ball right now or else..."
This. How many of us thought Sauce was getting a PI flag on that last play? 10 years of losing games from BAD PI calls will do that. Dare we say we have RESPECT now? Refs aren't gonna be as quick to throw ticy tak flags. We'll still get some, but not as many.
I hope Saleh personally brought him a cheeseburger to help him get revived after the effort the big guy put out on the field.
I thought the "studs and duds" referred to only the game for which it is being rewarded, not anything cumulative. Tell me again what he did to deserve a "dud" rating in the game against Buffalo.
The last drive the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty. Look at that clock management, I had to pinch myself. Granted I was waiting for the Hail Mary or a PI to kill me at the end, but I dodged that bullet and I don't care that I don't know how. The Jets were clicking on all cylinders on the run and I'm going is this somebody else's O-Line because I'm confused. The Jets also have this way of going away from something that's working and I'm also saying to myself this is working watch them start throwing the ball. They stuck with it, what a concept. They need to keep doing that consistently going forward, stick with what's working, Jesus! Duds: The SkyCam, somebody from the Cheats cut the cable, so not really a dud, technically it's vandalism.
Nice! Now if the skycam falls during the Super Bowl and takes out Quinnen Williams and Apple Sauce Gardner, THEN I'll call for an investigation! (and no doubt Belicheat will somehow be behind it!)
Stud @BuffaloPhysco For making us all laugh as he thinks the refs were on the Jets' side all game and don't forget Allen was carrying an injury for most of the game.
