look he is a kid, good games and then bad games,he had a terrible game but to me that is on MFL there is no way to throw the ball 40 times and not expect that last week with a kid at qb and a bad oline. He bounced back and after a game like this he needs to stay in this zone. He made several good choices today and that should be applauded. Now it is up to MLF to keep in that zone

I said yesterday that there are simple things Zach can do to play better at quarterback that doesn't require an off-season to correct.

Staying in the pocket and staying within the game plan are two of them.
He did both and we beat one of the best teams in the league.

Zach made some clutch throws and some nice scrambles... no complaints from me.

There was only one play where he did the running backwards thing and then flung the ball out of bounds, but for a second almost think it wouldnt make it. I almost though he had his man.

And he usually went to his first read.

Like I said all week, his EYES were RIGHT, he just wasn’t throwing it.

    Zach played great.

felt he got unlucky with the strip sack and lucky with the uzomah jump ball. Either way, he improved a ton. Decisive and quick. Think this was great for him. Exactly how you play the position.

    Robinson gave hard runs

hope we can get Moore incorporated again

    garret Wilson is a stuf

The difference with Zach from last week is he stayed in the pocket and was more decisive and didn’t put any throws in harms way. He still missed Conklin and Mims high when they had first downs and the team had to punt and didn’t feel the pressure on a fumble but that’s partially on the OLine as well. Overall decent game though.

I wouldn't say he played great. Still only seems to lock in on one receiver or check down. Missed at least 1 or 2 TDs. But all I want to see is progress with him and I really can't hate on the kid this was a great response to last week

I mean, that’s a good D. Nfl is quick passing anyways. Think he’s starting to see that.

I think his game against Tampa, Jacksonville and Miami (this year) were better as was his 3rd and 4th quarters against Pittsburgh. But he had to step up and he did. But, more important is he learned and corrected some bad habits.

Stats wise yes but those games were meaningless in the grand scheme of things. This was a major game with all eyes on this team ( CBS game of the week) against arguably the best defense in the NFL. Zach made big time throws today and stayed composed throughout the entire game. He looked like a starting NFL QB.

It was the same player who learned from his mistakes. Maybe things are coming together for him now, like they did for Josh Allen after similar game last year. Huge step forward from Zach. Now he needs to continue this trend reversal in NE!

That is Zach. When he gets into this scrambling mode that is when he struggles. MLF also called a much better game for Zach.

To me the biggest difference he stepped up and ran when the D played man to man. He has been very good against zone all season. The QB running pulls teams out of man on short third downs.

He was also not In 3rd and long much today.

That is impossible. He is two short, afraid to get hit, only looks at one receiver, and turn over prone.

    No way he is 5-1

Zach completed over 70% of his passes today. If his first read is open he should not throw it to him?

This wasn't a "great" game statistically, but it was a great game from a maturation standpoint. He still made some mistakes, still needs to continue to work on his footwork under pressure, but there was even improvement there. The biggest improvement - night and day - was staying in the pocket which enabled him to find guys and make plays. The strip sack/fumble was not on him...the rusher came through almost untouched before Zach had a chance to do anything. Even the high passes, which are things he needs to improve on, were "catchable" - better than the ones he has thrown up until now. And he made sure to throw the damn ball far enough out of bounds this time. It all adds up to showing that he does learn from his mistakes, and there is no reason to doubt that he won't continue to improve.

The defense was GREAT! And they've now made two great QBs look pedestrian. This is a unit that not only believes they're good, they believe they're great and room to grow! Again, I didn't want Gardner over Icky, but I've since been won over - he's a difference-maker like we haven't had in a DB since Revis. I hope and pray he doesn't get "Mevisitis".

Special Teams was also great with the only hiccup the slip and fall by Mann on the opening KO, but that was erased by the great INT right after that by Whitehead. And Zuerlein continues to be money.

I'm surprised but the Jets seem to have been able to put together a winning formula that's reliable, especially in the Northeast and cold weather: Stout "D", mistake-free "O", opportunistic S.T.. Facing Buffalo and N.E. in their buildings will be tough, but not impossible, and when could we last say that?

Lastly, I'm not going to say "I told you so" to all the Zach doubters here, but I hope you've seen enough to at least accept that he hasn't reached his ceiling and can become the FQB we've been looking for.

Uzomah got lucky. The throw was on the money.

Zach was lucky on the ball he sailed to Mims.
