This team doesn't give up. I think that's what I love the most about what I'm seeing this season. Previous years, the team would just fold.
Where were all of the penalties our defense usually gets called for (especially on third down)? Almost forgot about that. Hope this week wasn't a fluke and we finally have that under control.
What is really impressive is how this team won. Down 14-3 on the verge of being blown out after two TDs by great runs by Allen and we engineered a TD drive taking off almost the time before the half. This team never gives up. In prior years we would have been blown out by 30-40 points.
I honestly thought that we would get smoked. Unfortunately the game wasn’t on in Ct. Our defense is the real deal. Reading the game thread, I was happy that MLF started to run the ball. I’m signing up for Paramount this week. Go Jets!!!
The fire MLF crowd looks just as silly. Hopefully the fire Zach Wilson crowd (me included, fair disclosure) can be made to look silly as well. Today was a great start.
my point is NOT that i KNEW anything. just that w/ the immense roster turnover with injuries last year... and all the new youngins and new signings... with all that one needed to WAIT and see
Never thought this would happen, but this is amazing! Today we were the 49ers and Zach was Garoppolo. If he can keep being Garoppolo, we should be a playoff team.
MLF is good as long as he commits to running the ball. When he goes Air LeFleur, we lose. MLF isn't going anywhere as long as he realizes the talent he's working with, what works and what doesn't. The Jets win when they're run first, pass second.
Great , complete game. After the opening kick off, and long pass it could have been a disaster. 2 weeks to enjoy this one! All phases deserve praise today.
i mean... last week... you could ALMOST say we beat ourselves... 4 plays, the 3 INT and the RTP and we still prevented them scoring TDs the fulcrum being the RTP that negated a TD
MLF’s play designs are pretty damn stellar. Until today he hasn’t had a whole lot of help from Zach. His play calling is not perfect but no OC is. I get the whole air LaFleur thing but receivers were open and there for the taking. That said he has to understand his QB isn’t ready to make those plays. At least until today.
After his brother got butt f*cked today by the Lions..of all teams.. maybe he'll cool the air attack. This is starting to remind me of the '09 Jets the way the D is playing, and kind of reminds me of when Big Ben came in and was brought along slowly while the D and ground game took control. We'll see, they still have a tough schedule coming up, but this game was a real surprise.
