That should make Rutgers' life a bit easier, and you can bet Brohm will be declaring.

Rutgers is having a KILLER year recruiting. I think they're set at the top of the Big East for the foreseeable future.

No don't feel sorry for me. Bobby Petrino and Raiders GM Mike Lombardi are very close(from their Brown days) Mike Lombardi could be on the way out as raiders GM(rumor has him taking job with Jets scouting department) Without Mike Lombardi I didn't expect Petrino to come to the raiders. I thought Cowboys was where he was going to end up.(bill Parcells replacement0 and was supprissed he ended up with Falcons.

I did tell you that B Petrino was not staying at Louisville ,but he signed a 10 year deal. (thats what i was told on this board)

Signed a 10-year contract with Louisville and then bolted after year 1. They might as well write these things on toilet paper, at least they could wipe their asses with it.

Wow... I really thought after Saban these teams were going to shy away from the college coaches... and I would think ATL would've wanted an established NFL assistant to work with Vick... guess not

A year-older White/Slayton may have something to say about that.

Hey Raiderjoe, now that Petrino is out of the picture, who do you think Al should hire as the next Head Coach?

Really wasn't expecting this one. Way to honor a contract.

I suspect that all of the bigtime coaches have written into their contracts that they can bolt to the NFL whenever they want (or if not, they're paid lots of money in compensation). Otherwise, I would think that we would hear a lot more about NFL teams paying compensation to colleges for coaches. Certainly Louisville couldn't have forced Petrino to not have that clause if he wanted it - he just would have left.

    Wow.

Petrino must have really wanted to be in the pros all along, otherwise this makes zero sense.

I wonder what Matt Simms status is now.
