It's really tough to be brought in to install a system and then be handed a QB who cannot run that system. That sets the install back until the QB is discarded. If the QB is a high 1st round pick odds are you will never get to install your system because he's going to get you fired before he goes out the door. This problem is an existential situation for the Jets right now. No idea how they resolve it but we're twisted up like a pretzel until that happens. My suspicion is that MLF will get fired, because OC's are always expendable, and then the Jets will come to grips with the other side of the equation as they interview replacements and realize that none of them want to work with the QB.
I heard from my buddy who's at the game that there are already a ton of Bills fans there. It's going to suck if it feels like a Bills home game.
I would expect that not only due to the close proximity but that they are 6-1. Ive noticed at their other road games on tv the Bills are represented well …
Also there are a lot of Bills fans in the city at this point. Jets and Giants have both been bad for awhile now.
Just want to point out if nobody else has yet that we're in November and this is a meaningful game. If nothing else that is clear progress.
Milano being out helps the running game. Unfortunately we don’t have breece anymore. This probably isn’t the right game to evaluate Zach on.
We don't need to evaluate Zach at this point. We need to find a way to fix him or we need to move on. Some guys just don't make it and he has that smell to him right now.
The more I think about it. We're 5-3, at home, and still 11 point underdogs. Its like just because of last week the odds makers think we're the SOJ. If I was a betting man I'd be taking the Jets and 11 points.
I agree. He looks to be a bust. Something about his processing. MLF schemes these weapons open but he’s too busy running backwards every play. Sadly, we aren’t going to be able to have our pick of the litter this year, but maybe that is an advantage.
Draft somebody in the 4th round to be the backup a year down the road. Sign a vet with enough credibility that if he does well in camp he will start. Keep ZW as part of the mix. Have a real competition in camp between the vet and ZW and don't shut the 4th round pick out completely. Let the better QB start for the Jets next season with either the vet or ZW as the backup. Move forward based on what happens from there. A couple years down the road we have the 4th rounder entrenched as the backup and we can make a decision as to whether a high draft QB is the way to go or not.

This is the best defense we've had since 09-10. We can now potentially start thinking about winning the division.
The Jets are a legit football team. The Bills might be the best team in the league and have the best QB but we just won our 2nd division game. 2 division wins in one year. Is that possible? And we came back from a14-3 deficit in what looked like a blowout.
