The kid sounds very positive but without overdoing it - i like that. What's annoying is the highly paid "professional" in the Jets PR department who believes "Apart of" means being "a part of" something when it actually means the opposite.
It's amazing that some will make excuses for anything at all that the Jets organization does wrong or cannot bring themselves to criticize their misdeeds.
Towel? Is that a typo or is it supposed to mean something? But just to stay on topic do you feel that Robinson will be a contributor to the offense or, as stated by the Jets, separate from it?
I was worried when I read he was getting his knee drained before the Pats game... Jets’ James Robinson now questionable to play against Bills
Might have been more of a Joe Douglas move... Still... they had to know Robinson was gimpy. Just how damaged is he?
That's why the price was so low for a 1000 yard back. I pointed this out before: an injury prone guy, who is not healthy even now and might need to rest his knee. We haven't released any RBs to make room for him, so we can still use them, but there is upside if Robinson can stay healthy for most games and the price was not high.
Well... "passing" is relative to the price you're paying for the player. The cheaper the price, the lower the bar. They had to know about the knee issue but took a chance hoping it would hold up until the end of the season. Tells me the CS really doesn't hold the RB's on the roster not named Carter or Hall in high regard no matter what the public pronouncements are.
Ty had one 100 yard game in 56 career games, and I still remember him dropping balls against Saints to the point where I have some concerns if he has to play a lot. And if Carter also gets injured, like he did last year? Heck, even Carter had one 100 yard game in 22 career games. James had quite a few in his career, and already had one even this year. Risking 6th round pick for a guy who could be better than Carter and can come in a solid #1 back over him is worth it. Injury was a calculated risk, but if he didn't have any injury concern, there is no way we are getting him for this low of a price. I really hope they find a way to deal with his knee issues throughout the year, because clearly his knee needs either surgery or prolonged rest at best or likely both before it is 100%. That cannot really happen until the season is over.
You know you are a cursed, disrespected and second tier organization no doubt when 1- You are about to face your biggest enemy, BB and the Pats D, known to create schemes to take out your best weapon and let you beat you otherwise 2- You loose exactly that, your best weapon before that game 3- in addition, BB gets gifted with even more wrong, BS game changing calls by the ref as is the norm 4- Jets CS chooses to outsmart BB by abandoning the run game, while in fact gives him a big gift 5- Zach adds the last nail to the coffin by taking unnecessary risks, forcing turn overs unlike prior games 6- Special teams our much need strength has a horrific game With all that, ref gifted seven to ten, , Zach at least seven more, Special teams call it three with disgusting field position and we loose by five. Was it winnable, fuck yes, but we needed more from two out of the three phases of this game, and we manage to let them get the best of us…..again. We are yet to put together the winning formula
Just wanted to again praise JD for making that trade. For today, it worked like a charm, in the 4th qtr. JR is the perfect compliment to MC1, who did his part today too. Great to see JDs move pay dividends so quickly.
Played through the knee issue, and scored a huge receiving TD and was clutch in the 3d. No Breece to be sure, but if he keeps playing like this, well worth the 5th round pick. Heck might even be the keeper for 2023.
