This infatuation with Mike White is just asinine.

White had 95 yards passing and a TD in the quarter he played before he got hurt against the Colts.

5 quarters before the injury for 500 yards passing 4 TD's and 2 picks.

    37/45 405yds. 3TDs 2INTs.

Career completion pct and rating still better than Zach. and pick any 4 game span of Zach.
And the Best defense in the league. I mean c’mon - the only thing saving Zach he keeps getting injured and missing games. 20 games is enough sample size to know his true potential. We’ll be at that after the next NE game. Then you make the move.

You give him the bye to figure it out and NE game and then move on to MW.

We are cherry picking quarters, like the guys who are in on the Zach Pitt 4th qtr nonsense. That’s the asinine group.

Yeah…I don’t know if it’s 20 games or 25 games but it’s sure getting close

to me, the problem is that the numbers show that he hasn’t really improved much if at all…key stats are all the same.

and he has better playmakers around him this year.

    pretty depressing

I think he gets this year…still half a season to go…but by year end I think we’ll have a decent idea, and if he looks the same as he’s looked so far, I’d for sure look to bring in a vet.

jimmy G would make this offense look so much better…as one option…I’m sure there are others….but Zach has to be better than he’s been

I think using the term "infatuation" in this instance is asinine....

Insinuating Mike White has a legitimate chance at being the Jets starter next year with Streveler packages is asinine. That stems from a ridiculous obsession with the guy because he had one good game in which the skill players did all the work.

what other vets are going to be available? Dalton, Darnold, Mayfield, Brissett...???....brissett would be solid. good arm, generally doesn't hurt the team but def has some bonehead moments

    Mullens, Josh Johnson, cousins,?

He completed 37 out of 45 passes in that game.

There are no non-NFL QB's that can do that at the NFL level. Whether you think he is capable of being a high-value QB or not he clearly can play at the NFL level. This is not something that ZW has proven yet.

Just putting this out there. Did Flacco have a disagreement with the coaching staff? Won't be the first time information is censored

Dropping Flacco simply gives the coach’s plausible deniability when they say the the team that the best players play. The way Zach is playing it’s impossible to look any of the offensive guys in the eye and say the best NFL QB on the team is starting g when Flacco is in the room. Don’t get me wrong Flacco sucks, but he sucks with a modicum of competency. This ride with Zach is only gonna get worse and they need to be able to look at the team for the remainder of the season and say he’s the best guy on the team without losing all credibility. When there’s nothing but a 6th round journeyman and some guy from the CFL backing Zach up it’s an easy statement to make. A former SB winning QB destroys their credibility if he’s sitting on the bench behind Zach.

we were 1-2 with flacco and a healthier team.
we are 4-1 with zach and less talent around him
we definitely don't win the steelers game with flacco. zachs mobility was huge in that game.
flacco was good for 2 drives total in 3 games thanks to the browns doing browns things zach has been up and down but has played better then flacco by far
white is 1-2 as a starter and his last start was a 0TD 4 INT game

It was pointed out in the "time to throw" chart posted earlier that Flacco had 20% less time before pressure than Zach. Our o-line started out badly, and Flacco isn't very mobile. But when you look at their stats:

    Zach Wilson
    5 Games
    78 of 142 for 1048 yards
    54.9 completion percentage
    3 TD / 5 Ints
    44 First downs converted

    Joe Flacco
    3 Games
    91 of 155 for 901 yards
    58.7 completion percentage
    5 TDs / 3 Ints
    46 first downs converted

Flacco has had more success in every category, in fewer games and with less time to throw. There is nothing to indicate that Zach is a better QB than Flacco at this stage.

Also, our defense really stepped up.

In 3 games with Flacco our defense gave up 81 points.
In 5 games with Zach they've given up 74.

We might have been 0-3 with Zach. We might have been 5-0 with Flacco. We can go on with hypotheticals all we want, the bottom line is Zach has played some of the worst QB’ing I’ve ever seen during his 5 game stretch. Much like Sanchez the team has been winning in spite of Zach until Belicheck completely undressed the kid. To beat the Jets with Zach at QB all a team needs to do is stop the run and take away his first read. Then let Zach dissolve into the 3 for 31 mess that he is when scrambling. The sad thing is the best solution for this offense is to have Zach immediately just take a knee if he doesn’t see his first read open.

I’m not talking about you when I’m referring to people thinking he’s the future.

I don't think White's the future. I just think he's clearly better than ZW at this point and at 61 I want the better QB playing on a team that is showing signs of life.

the skill players "did all the work" because white mike assessed what the defense was doing pre-snap and got the ball to the right people on time ... thats called quarterbacking

Throwing 8 picks in 3 starts is also, really good quarterbacking.
