If Jets fans are not chanting for Streveler by the 3rd Qtr you’ll know we’ve actually turned a corner.
Sure wish we had B Hall for this game. He was running great till his injury. This would have been a great barometer of where the Jets are at in the division.
It doesn’t take long for an offense with an established system to implement a handful of plays in practice throughout the week. Teams already do that every week.
Its not like Streveler just beamed down from the Enterprise. He's been on the practice squad and ran the offense better than White during Pre-season football.
Yeah, he already knows whatever it is that will be asked of him. He’s going to have a selection of 4-5 plays that consist of “run ball to ____ gap”
It'll be interesting to see how many plays he's in on... if any. There's gotta be a reason he was elevated... right?
All kidding aside, I feel better having Streveler on the bench than Flacco or White. He should've been the choice from the beginning.
The second-coming of Brad Smith? Part of me likes this... then there's the part that wants the Jets to just beat up the Patsies, & forego the cute gadget plays. I suspect Streveler's been working on some gadgets all season, just for a game like this.
Hope we keep things in perspective. He s activated for a specific set of plays to keep the defense on their toes and keep the pressure off of Zach. The last thing we need is for fans to boo Zach at the first sign of problem.
The Patriots have had a lot of issues lately stopping designed QB runs. Justin Field scorched for 82 yards on the ground this past Monday.
