We all hate Belly but give the man his props he just plan out coached Eric. He had a great game plan we we didn't know what to do with it. DAMN that hurts to say.
Give me a break. Out coached how? He won because he had Tom Brady and a bigger and better Defensive line then we had. Pretty simple to me. We had how many trips into the Red Zone without a Td, they had Tom B. and he was a damn site better than our QB in the RZ today. That was the difference in the game period!
We played a near perfect game in conditions which were beneficial too us. We needed that kind of performance and more today because the Pats only step it up in the playoffs. I hate to say it but Brady and Belichek just don't lose in the playoffs.
They were missing the guy who has been their best player on defense this season, Ty Warren. Field conditions also benefited the Jets. Hard to fool Brady with blitz schemes twice in one season. But basically, their DL is incredible and our OL is decent, but vastly undersized and not nearly strong enough.
Eric Man did what he thought gave the Jets the best chance to win. We will address our weaknesses this summer and next year we will take the all might Pats down.
I don't know what you want the coaches to do differently. We didn't seem like a team that was unprepared, or totally fooled by what they were doing. Patriots just played better.
OH I see let's give the coaches all the credit when we win but when we lose put the blame on the players.
That's nice... but it doesn't change the fact that the Pats have more talent, specifically in the trenches, and is the reason they won. We couldn't get the running game going because of their great DL vs our average OL, and we couldn't stop the run because of their good OL vs our bad DL.
WHERE? Where what? I don't think it was so much outcoached than outdone. Eric did the best he could with what he had. Belly did the best he could with what he had. Bill just had more.
explain why the Jets kept blitzing and blitzing when it was clear they hadnt gotten a finger on Brady all day. that's poor coaching. play coverage and maybe he'd force one and you get a turnover, who knows, but they never ADJUSTED to the fact that the blitzed didnt work this game at all.
