No team is injury proof. Playing scared football is a quick path to losing. Playing smart football leads to winning..they played smart the last 4 games. I want the smarts to continue but with a more potent offense. Waiting for a whole and healthy Oline, not sure that is smart.
And...... the next week the 5-1 Jets played the 5-1 fish Monday night in the miracle at the meadowlands game... gotta love when a big man (Jumbo) catches a TD pass...
If the Jets can win this weekend I will start to believe in this coaching staff more than I currently do. This is your quintessential Bellichik looks like things might be slipping, but then he completely outcoaches a more talented team that looks like they're playing better.
Look the Patriots have had an issue all season stopping the run. Their offense can't score many points. So why air it out if it is not necessary? Judon is a great pass rusher but sucks at stopping the run. Establish the running game and then the play-action passing will be there. If the Jets blow this game by not taking advantage of the Patriot's weaknesses, then their coaches and management are very stupid!
A logical argument, but beating the Patriots is a big stepping stone for the jet's success. Besides as good as the Jets are, the Bills will be the AFC East Champs, no questions asked.
I think the line is wrong. The Jets should win this game. The Boston media is crucifying Belichick and they are claiming that the Patriot's coaching staff wants Mac Jones to fail. I really don't understand all this love for Mac Jones by the Boston media. The fact that a 3rd string QB Zappe is playing just as well or better demonstrates that Mac jones is not that good. The Jets in my opinion will be having a winning season. However, I do not expect them to go far in the playoffs. The Jets at this time have a 75% chance of making the playoffs if you believe the statistical nerds.
This sort of reminds me of the situation when the Red Sox came back down 3-0 against the Yankees to win the world series. This ended the Bambino curse. The Jets need to win this game to help end the Bill Belichick curse. Not only this game but their next game also this year with the Pats.
If the Jets do crush the Pats, a very possible outcome, this will add more fuel to the fire. Boston media has always hated Belichick and they smell blood. Any dumb Patriot fan that buys into the media's stupid hype is football impaired. It will be a possible nail in his coffin, but i doubt the final nail.

I never said don't run. I just want to see more plays calling for passes. Indeed, the first series of downs last week had those passes, ZW just didn't complete them. that cannot continue. The team needs a 2-pronged offense on a consistent basis, not just hoping for 4th quarter heroics.
The way the Jets win this game is to run well and stop the run. The Pats runs a modified Erhardt-Perkins and they are dependent on the run game to set everything up. Run to win the game, pass to score. That's their plan. The Jets have been running more of an RPO look recently and that will work ok assuming they can run the ball.
I'd love to see the defense shut down the pats...the last thing I want to see is a pats td and CBS cutting to a box seat of kraft clapping like an ass. They do it every game they score home or away and it just pisses me off
Tell him the next game is always the most important game of the season and no other games exist until we get by that one.
The love for Mac Jones is Bill Belichik's last hurrah as a great head coach. So much went so well when he had Brady that everybody kind of expected him to find the next guy and keep the ball rolling. Then he took a 1 year starter off of the best team in college football in the 1st round. That raised expectations for the pick. Then Jones played fairly well last season in the strangest rookie bubble in history (33 dropbacks a game but only 3 against the Bills in one game.) Now we're at year two and everybody has tape on Mac Jones and you can only cover up his arm for so long.

I’m stating the obvious but this game is a huge huge game for the franchise. Sure for the standings but psychologically. Bigger than the Buffalo game….
