I’m taking the Jets this week. Team is hungry to beat these scumbags and our defense is ready to hammer their QB’s. Go Jets!!!
We need to win this game. Not only for the playoffs but to put an end to being dominated by the Pats. That era of the Pats dominating us needs to end this week. Rosenblatt said on his podcast Monday that the Jets have the hardest remaining schedule of anyone in the league based on DVOA. I am not sure about that but I will say a lot of these teams we are going to be playing looked a lot easier at the start of the season.
People forget that for a season or two from 2002-2004 it wasn't clear that Brady was better than Chad. At the end of that period it was clear because the Pats had 3 rings and Chad was beaten down but for a couple of years there we had a chance. I remember hanging out in the Skybox bar down in Norwalk in 2002 at the end of the season watching the Pats-Fins. Jets had won earlier in the day and a Pats win would put the Jets in the playoffs. Some of the Pats fans in the bar were talking about how Belichik had made a mistake trading Bledsoe and how Brady would never be as good as him because he didn't have that cannon arm. It wasn't a unanimous opinion but there was some lively conversation going on among the dozen or so Pats fans in attendance. I looked it up just now because the memory seemed kind of strange but Bledsoe did indeed make the Pro Bowl that year and Brady did not.
Don't care as much about the Pats right now, the Bills are the new top dog, but agree need to beat the Pats at home!
Yet you came back hours later to continue harping on it. And lookie here another post on something you wouldn't continue harping on. So, as far as size, he looks the same to you as his rookie season? I'm wasn't even going to respond, I could just direct you to the threads here from the beginning of training camp discussing his weight gain. Or I could just post one of your posts
Agree. I know we haven't beaten NE in what seems like a 100 years but this game is the appetizer. Next week is the main course. Win or lose that is a game our young players will gain valuable experience by playing in. A game where first place could be on the line. That is how you start building a winning culture. By playing in big games and eventually learning how to win them.
If I could pick any game on the schedule that I wanted the Jets to win this year, it would be this week. Patriots at Jets. Maybe you would think beating the Bills would be better, but I could argue this is actually more important. -It would show a shift in the two franchises. -It would be big for the home crowd atmosphere at Met Life Stadium, which has been weak for many years. -It is a big division win. -It would be Zach beating Mac. -Saleh proving he can hang with Belichick. All very important. The Jets act like it is just another game, but it is actually the biggest game for them in years. Probably since Week 17 at Buffalo in the 2015 season.
We are 2 1/2 point home underdogs Based on the Bellichek dominance and our injuries I suppose But they have a losing record and a Hall of Fame HC who has no answer The NE losing continues !! Yes
