I cant imagine the team realistically expected him to realize the error of his ways in his week off. With the trade deadline so close, I'm sure he's going to continue to push the envelope until he's traded. If he's not traded, I'm sure he'll shut up and play. The trade request will reappear in the off-season. Jets will more than likely move him at that point. Unfortunately for Moore, he probably isn't valuable enough to be worth trading. Jets aren't going to trade a talented player with two years of control for a 4th round pick. If someone offers a late first, I imagine he'll be gone. I dont see that happening though.
You do not let a cancer linger. A disgruntled employee who wants to quit his job and go to another company, but a contract prevents that from directly happening. Grant his wish
Judging by his actions and latest tweet today he appears to be an egomaniac. Jets should try to get rid of him after this season. Definitely don't resign him if he's still around for that.
I think he does this weird thing until trade deadline is over. I just don't get it but he probably feels left out
That tweet was absolutely ridiculous. Forget trading him, just have him be inactive the rest of the season.
Actually he's putting himself in a bad spot. He's alienating himself, while the team pulls closer together. I don't see how this ends in any way positive for him.
Interesting rumor. Would be nice if we could move Moore to GB for a draft pick or two and then use those to trade for an OL.
I wouldn’t mind sending him to the NFC, but given how GB’s year is going, I doubt we get even a 3 for him. Not to mention, we’re down a big weapon with Hall down, we’ll be throwing more often so he’ll -theoretically-come in handy. Players have been off these past 2 days, right? Looking forward to hearing how this turns tkmorrow!
Matt LeFleur: "Hey Mike. What do you think about Elijah Moore? You think he can help us? Is he a good guy?" Mike LeFleur: "How 'bout this weather, huh?
Pretty big overreaction here to a tweet. Professional athletes post shit like this all the time on their social media accounts whether things are going right or wrong. The Jets shouldn’t overreact and move him right away. See if you can fix the situation. He’s a talented player who can do more for a franchise than a third round pick. If someone wants to bomb us with an amazing offer, do it, but I doubt it’s out there. Green Bay doesn’t trade high picks.
Agreed. It's a huge overreaction. Anyway make it work, don't trade Moore. Being a professional coach means dealing with personality clashes. That's why Saleh was brought in here
Most of the people I've known who throw bible verses around, have bible bumper stickers, etc, always seemed ready to blame anyone or anything else for their own problems. That or they seemed completely out of touch with reality. I knew 1 person who actually quoted some verses relevant to the conversation. This is not that. He better not dog it this Sunday or he'll hear the stadium version of persecution from an irritated fanbase.
