I meant to imply that some of our fellow posters who thought it was a good idea for Zach to scramble like Fields was a bad idea. Honestly, I never even gave a second thought to the "will break" comment well cause I thought it hinted a tiny bit of sarcasm. But it's obvious Zach isn't that type of Hurts/Fields type of runner either and I personally prefer he doesn't run if he doesn't need too. I never said Zach was made of glass.
Any sensible person would have taken your statement to mean that Zach could not sustain any decent hit due to his size. A knee sprain, which 300+ lb players also get, had nothing to do with his frailty. All the other hits, many of which were much harder, did not injure him. I'm not counting or discounting injuries, I just have the common sense to know his size had nothing to do with his twisted knee.
So only cracked ribs count as injuries then ok I gotcha. Whatever helps your point bro lol. Look in the end, I want Zach to stay healthy. He's not a physically big guy and him taking to many hits compared to certain other QB's makes me nervous.
6 pounds, the person who supposedly is much "thicker" than him, is 6 pounds heavier. And yes if you are talking about getting "broken in half", I would say broken ribs is much more of an indicator than a twisted knee.
Jets are gonna take out 20 years of frustration on Pats and stomp them from beginning to end. Boston sports radio is ready to turn on Belichick and this game will be the final nail in coffin for him. Jets 41 Pats 13
Plaster this up all over the walls this week. Everyone and their mother still doesn't believe in this Jets team. Time to come out and make a statement against the Pats.
Chicago just pummeled New England, in Foxborough. The Jets are much better than Chicago, especially defensively. New England is not a good football team. They don’t have a QB. They’re vulnerable to the ground game. If Sutton and Jeudy got blanketed by Sauce and Reed, how are Meyers and Thornton going to do? My brain says the Jets win this one handily, but my heart has felt so much pain from New England I don’t even know anymore.
I watched some of the Pats-Bears game (admittedly just the highlight video) and the Pats don't look like a good team. Even with injuries, the Jets should be favored to win this one.
If the Jets do win think of the hype with the NY media and fans next week leading up to a 1st place showdown at MetLife with the Bills. I don't expect to win that game but it will be good for our young players to experience a game where 1st place is on the line. It's all a part of building a winning culture. Need to start playing in these types of games and then eventually start winning them.
Jets should be in this game the entire time. I dont want to say they will win, but they are definitely the better team right now. Patriots are about as middling an offense as you can get. They're bottom half of the league in both rushing and passing and they've thrown the most INTs in the league. On the defensive side, they're bottom 10 in stopping the run. No Breece Hall sucks, but I expect a lot of Robinson/Carter/Knight. They seem to be top 10ish against the pass, so I expect another low usage game for Zach. Hopefully he hits the easy passes, since I dont see him taking too many chances. I assume Bellichek is going to do everything in his power to stop the run, but they haven't seemed to do that this year, so hopefully that continues.
